Great active air base with good spotters car partners the end of runway. Gets very busy at times but excellent place to see the typhoons flying. The Battle of Britain memorial flight is based here with a museum.

Brilliant spot to watch typhoons take off and land they are so close you can see the pilots . Will be back again soon .

best RAF base by far, You have Typhoon display team and the BBMF. Pilots always wave and sometimes if your lucky come to the fence. With 5 squadrons based there your garenteed to see activity.

Aviation buffs will love this place. (yes Im one) You cant walk around the base obviously but the Battle of Memorial Flight is housed here just on the perimeter fence line and an escorted visit is available, adult entry is about a £10 as of 2023..Toilets and drinks machine here. Wheelchairs available too. Park on the spotters arera 200 yrds further on and watch the TYPHOON activity...very noisy and very exciting. Thes often a burger van her, but food and drink is available in Coningsby village 10 minutes away. the BBMF aircraft often park outside just yads from the fence line and frequently fly during the week..Saw then flying Wednesday AND thursday this week!

Absolutely beautiful sight to see aspecially when you post in at the right time to see all the aircrafts dispatch I don't know about anyone else but I Absolutely love it here ❤️ update swear someone's released a huge amount of bunnies at the side of the base and they've just been left be onslaught along dogdyke seen multiple with guts hanging out and blood absolutely everywhere these past few months who would breed bunnies just for them to been killed by speeding cars makes no sense to me what so ever only seen a high increase in bunnies in the last 3months and there were people out in the back where the bunnies run wild it's not normal!?!?

This is an amazing place for any aviation enthusiast. A great variety of aircraft fly here, including the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight). The typhoons are incredible and make for cracking photos.

Great to stop in the carpark over night. We saw the jets but the weather wasn’t too kind to us so we couldn’t take many photos. I will be back in better weather
