Exactly the true British style of pub you would want to find in a cute little village,
The place felt like a fairy tail, so much to look at and enjoy,
True to the name plenty of horse equipment and even come with the lovely landlords friendly cat, ( Lady & Lordship ) you made us feel very welcome.
A young lady seated us and served us an amazing 5/5 Traditional Sunday Roast Dinner, I'm going to say it by far the best we have had in a long time.
I feel the prices are more than fair for the atmosphere, the presentation of food and drinks, the Ales were plenty of choice, would highly recommend the Honey Pot if that one's on,
We shall pop in again before we depart, shame we're only here for a week wouldn't happily make this pub our local had we lived a little closer,

Beautiful country pub with friendly and welcoming staff, serving a fantastic Sunday lunch with plenty of trimmings. Puddings equally as good. Will definitely return.

Visited Saturday and Sunday with the Yorkshire Driving Club for a pint to let the horses and ponies cool off. Not phased about our taking over the car park for half an hour. Good beers and wine. The Laaydee wife was very impressed with the Romanian Savignon Blanc that she'd neither heard of, or tried before. We will be back for a meal next time.

We stumbled across this delightful friendly pub and stopped for lunch. The food was fabulous; hot, tasty and quite quick too. The fire was lit and the atmosphere was lovely. The pub soon filled up and we were not surprised. The service from Chris the chef and James on the bar was excellent. We hope to return and have recommended to our friends and family already.

Lovely country Inn...old, charming and quirky.
Sunday lunch was simple and tasty with good quality food and seasonal vegetables.
A good choice of beers, not your usual run of the mill beers sold in other outlets.
Staff were lovely, friendly and pleasant.

After a walk in the Moors we found this cozy pub on our way home. The pub is very welcoming with a great interior. The food quality was excellent and good value. The roasted veg could’ve been done a little better, some pieces were too burnt. But otherwise very generous portions and comfort food. Servers were all new so it was a little slow but they were all very friendly. The bill also was not itemised which we would’ve liked. But it seems like they have a new management who are still ironing out some things and we will definitely be visiting again! Strongly recommend for anyone with a big appetite after some hiking.

A random trip to the area led to me and my wife calling in for something to eat. Burythorpe/The Bay Horse regulars have definitely inherited the best of the best, the lovely landlady and top chef are both one in a million. They couldn't do more for us, even after we got caught in traffic travelling across the Lancashire/Yorkshire border our table was still reserved and set for a nice romantic meal. The food was unrivalled, infact it was the best meal I've had for a while! We will definitely be back and I whole heartedly recommend The Bay Horse to anyone reading this review. Don't miss out on a great time and get yourself a table booked!
