Smart Currency were excellent. We set up a forward contract for the transfer of the proceeds of the sale of a house in France back to the UK. The French system is such that it is usually possible to predict the completion date with confidence, whilst also allowing some contingency. Our own sale should still have completed on time but the Notaire chose to raise some last minute queries resulting in delay. Rory and the team were fantastic in always being available and supporting us through the delay. Very happy to give 5 stars and I have no hesitation in recommending Smart.

I have used these guys since I first started planning my move to Portugal. I cannot speak highly enough of Smart Currency. We have been helped by them over 17 months now, and each time the efficiency, courtesy and immediate grasp of one's situation shown by each representative is the same - excellent. In the beginning of our purchase in Spain, when we were worrying about the sale of our house in UK which was to provide the funds for future payments in Spain, our trader understood our anxieties and kept in touch with us regularly. Once our UK sale had gone through and we were in funds, all our transactions were carried out , with a forward contract and then spot contracts, smoothly and immediately.
