A currency exchange that won't change Scottish Sterling.
I wanted to change GBP to US dollars but was informed they didn't exchange Scottish notes.
I told the cashier I'd go home and return with English notes which I did but on arrival back, the cashier was sitting in the booth but had a sign on the window saying "closed until 4.30pm". She said she was on her break.
I don't know why she couldn't have informed me that the first time.
However, she did attend to my requirements earlier than her break ended.
This is not a complaint about the cashier, as she was very friendly, but the policy of not taking Scottish Sterling is a joke.
I purchased some items in the supermarket and paid with Scottish notes, but the CURRENCY EXCHANGE wouldn't take them. How ridiculous.

Bought euros here yesterday and it was an irritating and poor experience. Made me wait 20 minutes while the cashier went on a break even though there were no other customers. I realise people need a break but it was just poor service when it was so quiet despite what the website says about breaks, could have served me first and then gone as it took about 2 minutes. Then took advantage of my inexperience to up sell me their buy back guarantee without explaining it costs 4 pounds. I didn't notice until I had left the counter. So overall a poor experience and I will probably not use them again unless I have to. Be careful if you do to check the costs before you sign anything or pay as they put maximising their revenue above customer service.

I rang Eurochange Morrisons Anlaby to enquire what documentation I would require to bring as proof for purchase for a euro exchange above the £2500 allowance. I was informed I should bring my passport and driving license and some other documentation and when I asked he said he couldn’t tell me on the phone and I should come into Morrisons branch for further information. I arrived with my passport, driving license and a latest bank statement. The Eurochange employee checked my documentation and then rang a colleague for some advice he then and asked where the money was coming from to pay for the Euro’s I informed him from my bank account and showed him the bank account statement/balance which would easily cover the requirement by more than 4 times. He then informed me he needed to see proof of my flights tickets and proof of payment/booking for the accommodation. I asked him if he was here to do business or just know all my private life and would he be exchanging euro’s today. With this type of service they should close this branch and let the POST OFFICE do the the exchange service from now on. A poor day for customer service
