Filthy. Most of the trolleys had rubbish in. Place clearly wasn't filled or faced overnight. We visited lunchtime Sunday. Huge swathes of empty shelves across the store. Home shopping staff racing their basket trolleys around like lunatics. Rubbish and various items dumped all around the store. From a retail perspective ranging seems to be ple ty short of what the store was designed for. Bays of random product pocketed here, there and everywhere. Nobody seems to care anymore, this used to be such a well presented store. To top things off, a blocked fire exit, on top of the dangerously loaded overstock all around the store. If this is indicative of the state of Asda with their new leadership, then it is doomed, and if this is a local issue, with poor leadership I would suggest regional management take decisive action. Awful presentation, terrible availability, and unsafe to top it off.

Best part was hearing 3 of the staff on the chilled section discussing the absolute state the nightcrew had left the staff toilets in, one in particular questioning "what on earth do they do in there". I would hope that is pretty obvious!

My local Asda is around 1.5 miles away, but I travel around 8 miles especially to visit this one. I find the staff far more pleasant, as well as the customer base. The aisles are very wide, and there's a great selection. I've found the shelves to be stocked well, and the store is generally tidy and clean.
No Asda is the same since the new owners took over, it really has gone downhill nationwide. That can be seen in staff moral, as well.
My only real issue with this store, as with others is the lack, or complete absence, of manned checkouts.
It's not only laborious to handle everything several times, but the checkouts are quite low. When I'm doing a several hundred pound weekly shop, this actually starts to hurt my back a little from leaning over and twisting side to side a hundred times, especially with heavier items, like multipack cans.
As mentioned above, it's the best Asda I've found within a reasonable driving distance, and I'll continue going. There is some room for improvement though.

One lady on tills while two on customer service desk & four on self serve, the que for the till was a mile long but Mrs Brian May lookalike just kept looking at the poor lady alone on the till instead of sending two of the people on self serve to help by opening two more tills. Very poor store management!

Every time recently at self pay trolley have been selected for trolley checks of 20 items. Probably because we have been looking at spirits where you are on camera. I certainly don't need this. So I will not be using ASDA anymore thanks asda another loyal customer gone. Also far too many staff with large trolleys making shopping difficult. But unfortunately ASDA will not care.

What an awful pharmacy (Asda Asdale)!

Went there because I have a swollen painful eye and the doctor told me that the pharmacist is obliged by NHS policy to provide antibiotics.

Well this pharmacist didn’t even oblige me with his or her (or whatever pronouns they use) presence! They sent a message via the till lady that they couldn’t help! Not even a peek and you know you can’t help? Pretty magical skills!

I think a job requiring no emotional intelligence is more suitable for you!

A patient in pain, who has travelled in this awful storm on a Sunday afternoon with two little kids, isn’t there for pleasure. So please get your act together and show the next patient some respect and a bit of etiquette.

I’m not sure if poor quality trolleys are a signature of your stores, but I’m tired of dealing with ones that constantly tilt to the side—especially when carrying heavier loads, which only makes it more difficult to manage. Every Asda I’ve visited seems to have faulty trolleys, and I can’t believe this is still an issue.

To make matters worse, because of the trolley’s leftward tilt, it bumped into something on the way out, causing the entire trolley to lift and nearly injuring my wife/daughter. You can review the incident at your main entrance at approximately 19:36 GMT today. It shouldn’t be hard to spot.

How is this still happening? Imagine if it were your child at risk of being injured. I’m fed up with Asda, who always has a trolley issue.

Better and larger than most stores. Ample parking. Good prices on fuel. Pretty good prices. Pity special offers and bonus didn't work AGAIN!!
