DO NOT USE!!!

They do not care about you.
They do not care about fairness or a promise of goods in exchange , the app is a lie and the company is a scam.

Do not send your books, they LIE. They say it is on a bad condition, or not received, or has mold on it when it clearly did not.
I have had them accept 8-10p books but not £3+ ones were strangely 'not received' - in the same box?

The final straw was when i sent a book 'worth' £5.94, it was in EXCELLENT condition and they said it was water damaged. they would not budge even though i pleaded and also told them i spent over £20 buying books from them that very week. I lost the book and the money- they said as soon as it is sent to them it is there property and they can do what they want with it.

When i tried to fight for my consumer rights they said 'Also, kindly note that, once we have received your items, ownership of the items passes immediately and irrevocably to us.'

When we trade with them the app promised ease and trust, it is then not delivered. We expect fairness and an exchange, and tine and time again they have proved they do not do this.

DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, bought books from them that are in AWFUL condition, pages ripped out, bent - pointless waste of time.

I sent a large quantity of books, several weeks ago. I still haven't been paid the £50 I am owed. Also I received an email informing me that many of the books I sent were missing, despite the fact I packed them myself and all were sent. Around the same time I sent some other books and CDs to Music Magpie with no problems, and paid promptly. I shall be using the latter instead in future.

When play scripts are normally £10-16 RRP, and can be read within an hour or two, the costs can start to stack up. So I love that Wob has such a wide collection to choose from, for only a few pounds each. They also have some great otherwise out-of-print scripts! I've always found the company to be pretty efficient in their dispatch and use of Royal Mail 48 delivery (which is free for orders over £5).

They rectified an incomplete delivery address on a recent order with a replacement without any quibbles.

The only slight disappointment is the endless loop the chatbot can send you in on their website. AI is no replacement for customer service! However they have real people manning their Instagram, and the real person was very helpful!

Please beaware of this company, you could end up with nothing but wasting your time.

There are hundred of hundred horrible review of this company!! mine too. This is the worst company ever. You should beaware of them!!

The price? Are you willing to waste your precious time just to save a few quids?

Let me share my horrible experience with you.
My daughter loves a particular book, so I ordered it on March 26th. It was available on Amazon, but I thought, “Let’s support other companies instead of always going with the big ones.” So, I gave this company a try.

After placing my order, I expected it to arrive within a reasonable time. I got a tracking number and checked the status after a few days—it said there was an address issue, and the package was being returned. So, I reached out to customer service.

And what did they say? Without even checking, they told me not to worry because the package was on its way. But I had proof that it was being returned, so I sent them a screenshot and emphasized the issue again. I kept waiting.

Then, they finally admitted that they had received the book back. So, I asked them to send it again quickly because my daughter had been waiting for it.

At this point, if they had just resent the book, I would have understood. Even if it was delayed, I could have been patient.

But then—suddenly, they told me the book was out of stock. They couldn’t send it anymore. Instead, they offered me something else of a similar price. similar price of what?

What kind of nonsense is this?

This is why you should never use this company.
I ordered the book on March 26th, and on April 3rd, they finally told me about "refund"
I didn’t need a refund, I needed the book!

They wasted my time without properly checking anything. even I presume Selling an item they don’t even have? That’s basically a scam. isn't it?

In the end, I just bought the book from Amazon and received it the next day—no issues at all.

I used to believe in supporting smaller businesses, but maybe I was wrong. This might be unfair to honest small businesses, but this particular company? Absolutely not.

For anyone looking for a good online bookstore, I highly recommend "Books2Door". Their customer service may be a little slow, but they always deliver quickly and handle issues properly.

I only tried another store because Books2Door didn’t have the book I needed. But next time, I won’t make that mistake again.

Always loved world of books and purchased a few used books from them but recently I bought 2 ology series books and was going to buy another vampireology one but they rose the price from €30 to €80. Just because the other ones were bought from me they thought the demand is high. I was about to purchase last night until I noticed the price increase.

They do the same with the Martha Stewart books too change the price based on if its popular or not. Set it to one price and leave it at that if you want loyal customers as people do notice.

PLEASE BE AWARE, when you buy from them.
I have ordered 4 books from them as a first customer and i was happy with 3 of them. The 4th one was sent in a different package after some time but was not the book i ordered. They sent me a pocket guide book of the original and I wasn’t happy about it so I EMAIL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO RETURN IT , explained that i want the book and not a tiny pocket guide ( will attach photos).
In response they let me know. I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RETURN! I don’t feel is fair as wasn’t my mistake. Why I should pay ?
They have been sending me the same emails saying i have to pay for the return when i already sent them photos.
They demanded to see the iban of the book ( CONVENIENT IT WAS HALF COVERED BY A STICKER) even then they manage to say “ AUTHORS ARE PUTING THE SAME IBAN ON DIFFERENT BOOK?
Now i have seen the reviews and i understand they are not a good company.
PEOPLE BE AWARE, don’t give them your money you have been working hard to make!

ebay Order number: 27-12018-21862
item title: The World of David Walliams - The Terrific Ten! Mega-Massive 10 Books Collection Set

I have been deceived. The product was advertised as a set of 10 books, with the images clearly reflecting a collection of 10 books. The price was also set at a level that matched the value of such a set. Yet, to my absolute shock, I received only one book.

It was only later, upon closer inspection, that I found a small note in the product description written in German, indicating that this item was for a single book. For a bookstore that prides itself on being a reputable name with numerous branches across Europe, this kind of underhanded tactic is incredibly disappointing and dishonest.

Such business practices will undoubtedly backfire, as there is a law of karma that eventually catches up with those who engage in deceit. I sincerely hope that with the money you’ve tricked out of me, you can rest easy, feed your family, and sleep well at night.
