We were visiting Betws-y-Coed for a few days and we visited the hotel for Dinner one evening. We were pleased we did since the food was exceptional. It was presented well and tasted wonderful. All home made with the Sherherds pie having pieces of meat rather than minced. The Cheesecake was to die for, it was so light and the base was hand made. Should we return to the area we will eat again and maybe even stay, depending upon if we have our dog with us.

We only ate in the restaurant at Ty Gwyn but it was the best meal of the trip. We were a large group of 6 people and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding… we’d had a number of bad meals during the weekend so it was refreshing to have a meal which was so great. We loved The cottage pub atmosphere and the interior has been so thoughtfully designed. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back and would recommend to everyone looking for excellent food in a beautiful country pub.

We didn’t stay here, only came for food (though the entire place looked incredible! So cosy and well done). Had one of the best meals I’ve ever had here. Absolutely incredible food!! A mammoth menu, so give yourself time to look at it all properly. I had pork belly, which was cooked to perfection. Really succulent meat with very crispy top and crackling that melted in the mouth - extremely hard to do! Everyone else had fish and it was also exceptional. The puddings were equally amazing, the brownie and lemon posset in particular! Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic hotel, staff and service!

The rooms were a great price.
The building has amazing character.

We weren't able to stay late enough for breakfast but they left us a cold breakfast and a toaster.

The evening meal was absolutely delicious, a bit like fine dining with smaller portions but definitely worth it!

I recently stayed at Tŷ Gwyn Hotel and absolutely loved the ambiance. The bar area is filled with vintage decor, creating a nostalgic and cozy atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The room was also very comfortable, contributing to the overall positive experience.

However, there were a few small issues. The lady at the reception was not very friendly, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, the jacuzzi bath in our room didn't have a shower hose, making it impossible to take a regular shower. When we asked the receptionist for a place to shower, her response was quite unhelpful and not very friendly.

Despite these issues, I still really appreciated the charm and character of the hotel. I hope these concerns are addressed soon to improve the guest experience.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week whilst doing the Zip Wire adventure, which I would highly recommend. The Hotel is wonderful, quirky with lots of wooden beams and ornaments. The food is the best I have had in a hotel and the menu very varied so would suit all tastes. The staff were amazing and friendly, nothing too much trouble. The beds were comfortable and lovely rooms.

Stayed for a long weekend in the stand alone cottage and hot tub.

The welcome couldn't have been better. Cottage available early and given all the information we needed. Full bag of logs for the hot tub and fire.
Very well equipped kitchen in general.
The hotel the cottage belonged to was simply a historic gem. Amazingly quaint hotel serving really good food.

The landlord was great, friendly and helpful.

Parking was available but not always free.

Will definitely be returning on our next trip to the area and can imagine the cottage would be even more cosy and welcoming in the cold winter months.

Thanks all.

We arrived and were given a key, weren't shown to our room which we thought was rude. Room was comfortable but although hanging our service the room label on the door, room wasn't serviced for our entire stay. The owners should just concentrate on food and do away with the rooms as it's like it's too much trouble. Wouldn't recommend staying.
