Anyone who knows me knows that I love York, and also that I am a complete geek for all things comic related. Therefore for me at least Travelling Man fills an important gap in York's portfolio of shops that would otherwise be entirely lacking. It offers an amazing range of games, and an extensive range of current comic offerings, all packaged together in another of York's quirky and odd shaped buildings. I never miss a chance to have a look around whenever I am in town.

Great selection of games and manga, with a good friendly service. Staff are more than happy to recommend games and check the rating/reviews if they are not sure.

I’ve purchased a few games from Travelling Man over the years. On some occasions they’ve been totally honest and swayed me against buying some, if they don’t think it’s what I’m after. Great service and helps me trust their judgement so much more when they say it’s a good one.. if any of that made sense!

Went in here with my son (14) today, absolutely exemplary customer service from the lad who was making sure shelves were tidy. I had said to my son "I still can't see Jojo's", the lad heard me, asked if that's what we were looking for and took us to where it was. He was polite, kind and just really lovely. Very impressed with the customer service 👏

People from other cities come to the store, because it is huge! The assortment is simply great. I found things inside that you can't buy on the internet or in other stores, that means a lot! The service is very nice, upstairs the store has a room dedicated only and exclusively to Warhammer! This room has more Warhammer stuff than the official Warhammer store in Leeds! I recommend it with all my heart, you will find a lot of stuff there!

We went looking for a children’s board game. We ran into the manager who was so helpful. They took us upstairs to trial a few games and we had a whale of a time. Walked away with a couple of games and two very happy kids.

It was really busy here which is to be expected in York on a Saturday. I ended up just browsing but the range of games and supplies here is extensive, even compared to a larger store in a bigger city. Prices seemed competitive too. The service from staff was friendly and attentive.

Popped into the York store to grab a couple of paints. They had a fantastic range of Warhammer products available, although i managed to defy temptation! Other products such as board games caught my eye and great to see such great ranges available.

Upon purchasing the paints, 2 staff members were really friendly and offered advice/recommendations on paints if i was looking for alternative options. Great service and really nice shop to either browse or get your hobby supplies.
