Great service from friendly efficient staff, accommodating a young baby and pushchair, without a fuss, in a lovely airy restaurant. It was also dog friendly, another couple nearby were provided with a water bowl for their three dogs. We don't have dogs ourselves,but nice to see them treated as family. The slow cooked belly pork strips I had were absolutely lovely, large,succulent and so tender. The burger that my daughter had was massive and tasty and the fish and chips for my son in law, tasty with portion size more than adequate. well done the team. We're not tourists, myself living near the edge of Bodmin Moor, my daughter and family Torpoint, so we will be back! Please accept apologies for posting a photo that was not correct for your restaurant. However I'm old and not very tech savvy!but have hopefully managed to remove the picture. The rest of my review is one hundred percent accurate and I stand by all the compliments!

What a fabulous traditional Sunday roast dinner and just what we were looking for. We got a window overlooking the harbour on lively slightly overcast day with no wind. When the plate arrived; quicker than we expected, it was a beautiful dish to look at and mouth watering. A huge Yorkshire pub sat on roast swede and carrot mash, parsnips, savoy cabbage, large very crispy roast potatoes with heaps of melt in the mouth beef and deep rich beefy tasting gravy. It’s good sized ‘man’ portion but you will not be disappointed with the flavor and texture. Brilliant cooking and one of the best my partner and I have ever had. Thank you to the great staff who work hard front of house and to Chef for producing fabulous food !

Wow what a lovely restaurant. We had a very warm welcome and it's a lovely environment to enjoy a meal.
There's a great range of food on the menu with great choices on the menu especially for vegetarians. There's even a fried celeriac alternative to fish and chips.

The food was delicious, I had the fish and chips and the batter was really crispy and the fish was moist and flakey.
There's a good range on the drinks menu with some nice local options.
Prices were about average for the area and great portion sizes.

What a lovely setting in a beautiful time forgotten village. Met some friends here for an evening meal. We were a group of 8. The food was great quality fresh and tasty. Compliments to the chef.

We are here twice whilst we were staying in Mevagissey and it did not disappoint either time. The food was amazing, and a decent sized portion, we could only do one course and we came out stuffed each time! I have coeliac disease and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting what could be changed so dishes were gluten free. They have gluten free rolls so are able to do all the burgers and anything that comes with bread as a side gluten free. All the fish we had was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. We would definitely return, was our favourite in Mevagissey!

Went to Sharksfin again third time’s a charm, or so we thought. Starters came out and honestly, I thought they were mains in disguise. The boneless chicken wings? Spot on good quality, crispy, tasty. Whoever cooked them deserves a medal. The slow-roasted belly pork? Melt-in-the-mouth tender I swear it practically waved goodbye before I ate it.

Now… the fish tacos. Let’s just say my wife is still traumatised. Skin on fish? In a taco? Bold move, chef. Not a fan, not one bit. She gave me that “you ordered this, you deal with it” look.

Service was alright no disasters, but let’s just say if we hadn’t asked for extra drinks we’d have been drier than a Cornish sand dune in July.

Price? Bang in the middle not a bargain, not daylight robbery. Just… meh.

So, will we be back for a fourth round? Probably not. Time to move on to pastures new (and preferably skinless tacos). 🐟🌮👋

We have visited this restaurant several times mostly at the evening and have not been disappointed, food is great, the staff are friendly and polite and set on the harbour front gives a nice setting. There's not really any on site parking at this restaurant due to it’s location on the harbour front although there is plenty of paid parking available nearby. Would recommend.

We visit mevagissy every time we holiday to Cornwall and the last few times we have stopped in for lunch here. Never disappointed, the float is absolutely amazing. We have been dreaming about the fish tacos for 2 years. They were just as good as last time!

I had the New England Style Chowder and it was absolutely incredible! Would definitely recommend.

The staff are always really lovely and welcoming.
