i stumbled into this small restaurant, escaping the cold and wet, and was instantly enveloped by a warm welcome and cozy atmosphere. it's unpretentious dining, yet the food is truly outstanding and incredibly inspired. this is exactly the kind of place i love – where the chef interacts with you as you dine, and the dishes are simple but showcase the best of seasonal produce, fresh seafood, and incredible flavor. my god, the flavor! very underrated - come here for an unique gastronomic experience.

I can not recommend this place highly enough! Absolutely loved it! In the heart of Looe, right on the estuary with the working fishing boats within touching distance. Size isn't everything! Booking in advance is advised. It's relatively small and a tad quirky, (the loo is up the alley! Hysterical)!, but the quality and presentation of the food was second to none. Great staff and service, too. The mezze-style menu was a perfect way to sample an array of dishes. A sensory explosion for the taste buds. As for the wine, I am keeping an eye out for this, blooming gorgeous. Thank you all, and Happy New Year!

Fantastic niche fish tapas restaurant with beautiful harbour views. So many wonderful dishes to choose from. Small plates with so much flavour. We ate almost all the menu with a lovely bottle of wine. Meals a little pricey but don't let that put you off, worth every penny. Service with a smile and you can even watch Chef showcasing his culinary skills. Highly recommend. We will certainly return if in the area again. Thanks Fred we had a fabulous evening. Small restaurant, with great food, you’ll need to take your time here (well worth it) the chef and sous chef, cook and serve your meals.
Dishes: you’ll need 2-3 dishes per person, with a side.

Fabulous restaurant sat on the Quay with fabulous views. Tapas style with each dish served as prepared. We loved all the dishes but the John Dory was a standout for me. The bread is a must for dipping throughout. The service was excellent. Can't recommend highly enough.

Great choices of seafood dishes in small portions!
On a pricey side but the selections are quite unusual, worth to try!

Booking is essential! This is a small restaurant managed by a professional, very hard working and talented team. Our meal was divine. The freshest seafood cooked with pzazz and perfection. Unpretentious yet ultimately supreme. Well done Fred Alsop and Co!!
