Cold pint, quick service.Quite a boring interior, but the local people in here were so funny and entertaining (I was ease dropping). This made the whole visit a lot more pleasant.Recommended if you're in the area and like me like all things spoons Marlborough car park not too far away if you're in the car.

Spoons get a fair amount of stick online, but credit where it’s due. The drinks are unbelievably priced if you just fancy a pint of beer or cider (90s prices), the food is not bad, easy to order via the app, keenly priced and often comes with a drink. The service is always great too, whether at the bar or via the app. As long as you don’t think you’re at The Ivy, at their price point Spoons are difficult out to beat.

On our way to our accomodation Paulicarus spotted the Spoons near Banbury Cross. Jorvic said that it would be rude to walk on by. Even better, they had several beers on offer at £1.99. I had a Wimbledon SW19 Blond, with a 50p off CAMRA beer token. Excellent condition. Missus had a pint of Strongbow dark fruits. All for under £5. T shaped floor plan. Four steps up to bar area. Think we will be here for breakfast as our so called £105 a night B & B is a B but no B..WT ? Is going on in England! Jorvic and Paulicarus live off sausages.

The food took a long time to arrive. They made a mistake and gave us double of nuggets but otherwise good. Food tasted as normal for Weatherspoons. Friendly waiter but he was alone plus the barman. Pretty empty except day drinkers.

Ordered a nachos to have with some drinks and got handed this. Was very disappointed as the menu of course says sour cream, quac, and chilli’s serves with it. I wouldn’t have minded if the staff had mentioned that they didn’t have any of those on stock but nothing was mentioned. I know spoons in the typical you pay what you get kinda place but this seemed a bit ridiculous. Never been handed something like this is spoons beofre

Visited here on 1st Jan 2024. Previously visited The Exchange in June 2022.

Another decent quality Wetherspoons branch that does the excellent value 'Top Plates, Low Rates' food deals.

An All Day Brunch and a pint of Guinness for the sum of £6.28, is very good value for money.

Pub wasn't overly busy, however was to be expected on New Year's day.

Only gripe was food arrived before the pint.

Definitely worth a visit if in Banbury!

We went on Sunday and ordered a large breakfast and eggs Benedict. When the waitress served us, she brought out a traditional breakfast instead of the large one, then mocked us as if we didn’t know what we had ordered. Fortunately, I asked for the receipt, which clearly showed that she had made the mistake, not us!!
She was very unfriendly and mocking customers is definitely not the way to be in hospitality
