Shop is shut again without any warning without any explanation. We went there at 5pm. It’s getting way to common now these past months that we find the shop close HOURS before their official closing time. Also, the place is really messy, in the morning the pastries are not baked by 8-9 am and also the story is FULL with unpacked trolleys packed with products which is making it hard to get what we want as 1. there is no space to move and 2. The heavy trolleys are blocking the shelves. They are not short stuffed because every time we got there we see a minimum of 3 to 4 employees in the shop. It’s time for someone to do something as this situation is ridiculous.

Had to search to see if I’d misread the opening times, turns out I’m not the only one to be let down by an early close. Just needed a couple of bits on a drive home, 19.20 on a Friday night seems an odd time for a shop to be closed when it’s states everywhere 22.00.

For a place that is the only shop in the village, and a lifeline to so many elderly and vulnerable residents in the neighbouring areas, the reliability of this stores opening hours has forced myself and a number of others to just jump in the car to Tesco, where you can be assured you won’t be turning upto a randomly closed store. This has happened at least 4x in the past 2 months. If there was a sign, or notice, fair enough, but if the needs of the community are in the hands of certain members of management there, then this community is truly screwed. As someone in our residency groupchat put, to which they were unanimously supported, that store has been on the decline for well over 6 years. Sadly a number of staff seemed to have remained for that time and the sooner the shop gives way for a Tesco Express, the better the community will be

People need to stop whining. Try and imagine our village without it? If you don't like it, go elsewhere. They do a great job in difficult times. You can't please all the Mongs all the time.

I've not particularly great interactions with the staff here (often come across a bit rude/unhelpful) as others have experienced but also they have a habit of closing for a few hours to restock the shelves at peak times. I appreciate that it's a small store and it's during a pandemic/difficult times but I've come at peak times several times to find the store closed

Not sure why all the negative comments! We are fortunate to have this facility in Colden Common and the staff work very hard. They have kept open when we have had heavy snow as they did during the pandemic so that locals can still get their shopping. Well done everyone! You are an asset to Colden Common.

Already closed at 6:45pm on a Friday despite the signage saying 7am-10pm. Either update the times to something realistic or get more staff instead of wasting everyone’s time

I was staying with relatives for a short period of time at their bed and breakfast bungalow in colden common. Visiting the Co-op gave me a good opportunity to get some fresh air and stretch my legs.
