Terrible staff. The culture that is developed is appalling. I used the self check out and paid with cash £22.44 in total. Paid £22.45. 2x20p and 1x5p for the 45p the machine didn’t register and said I only paid £22.26. I told the staff, the first thing the women said to me was “the machine can’t be wrong”. She accused me of lying over 18p? I took out all my change and told her look you think I don’t have 18p? I have £5 easy in change.

The security guard proceeds to come and ask what’s wrong. I told him exactly what happened. The women then said something stupid with no common sense “pay the 18p and when you get the receipt it will tell you how much you’ve paid”. Well it will show that I’ve paid £22.44 because it didn’t register the amount I already paid or it would say I’ve paid already. The staff there have common sense whatsoever, just the comment machine is never counts wrong. How many times have the machine crashed etc? And they saying it doesn’t go wrong?

I asked the security guard to check cctv and they’ll know because it’s a matter of principle. He said it won’t show up on cctv…feels to me they can’t be bothered. Also he said “maybe you counted it wrong”. Now he’s also accusing me of lying. Both of them gave me a weird disgusting, disbelieving look. I paid the remaining 18p which I already paid! The women quickly grabs the receipt and said “it’s that correct what you’ve paid?” I told them obviously not but it didn’t register. She then said “if you find anything wrong with the calculation on the receipt you can bring it up with customer service”. Seriously? Is she in a world of her own or she clearly did not listen to what I’ve been saying? Proper bad company bad staff. If you can go somewhere else instead of this Tesco, big conglomerate like this don’t care and they know they can get away with stuff like this.

Christmas, Easter, Bank Holidays and you can bet your life you will spend most of it trying to get off their car park. Absolutely ridiculous, should have gone to Aldi!!!

After developing a nasty rash on my face I spoke to Shelley the Pharmacist at Tesco in Bury. She was extremely helpful and kind, she advised me what to take and even gave me printed information to help. Good advice and excellent customer service.

Went to pick up my red wine that I always buy from Tesco only to find they had an offer on buy 6 bottles get 25% off but guess what the wine I always buy has gone up by over £1 a bottle to start with, do they think we are stupid ?
