I purchased meat from here for several weeks until I noticed that the chicken was labelled Halal (a term used to label meat as lawful to eat under islamic dietary law as its prepared by 'bleeding out' the animal first).

I do not eat Halal meat as I am against the slaughter practice so I was ashamed of myself for eating it prior, I questioned the butcher called 'John' and he said ALL THE CHICKEN MEAT IS HALAL. I asked if I can buy NON-halal chicken meat and he said 'No' I then asked him about the chicken meat which is NOT LABELLED HALAL and he said that it is also Halal but they do not have to label it as Halal.

The blonde lady who served behind the til came up to me and said "if you don't like it then take your custom somewhere else". I was shocked at the rudeness and decided not to give them my custom anymore.

Meat are nice. However met a male staff was very impolite. Blamed us said we messed up his shelf. Don’t let us choose just only can take the top pack of meat.

The staff here are very helpful and friendly and it's such a lovely atmosphere which is mad to say about a butchers . And the deals they do are great value for money, I highly recommend paying them a visit 👍🏽👍🏽
