We cannot fault our experience with Skinners Sheds.
We visited the Ninfield site to see the range of sheds on display, there were plenty of sheds of various sizes and designs to choose from.
A very helpful and knowledgeable sales guy called Andy was so much help, we decided to buy a pent shed on the day. 5 days later the shed was delivered and erected by 2 experienced men. It was an all round professional service and would recommend based on our experience.

As soon as the shed builders arrived they got straight on with the build, within 20 minutes they were done and we were very impressed by their workmanship, the guys were very polite and professional. The shed is fantastic and very happy with the product. It looks great in our garden, I can't fault Skinners Sheds well done.

We purchased a 6(w)x2(d)x5(l) ft log store from Skinner's Sheds.
Firstly the positive, the log store itself looks great and seems to be a solid structure.

But be aware, make sure to read the entire contract before signing. It may sound trite but we then lost out on the 10 free bags of kindling as a result.

We originally made the online order which included 10 free bags of kindling.
We initially didn't notice the 4 month delivery delays that are highlighted on the website (our fault) so we were preparing to cancel the order but we were then told over the phone that a display model was available at our local show site which if we were willing to collect, could avoid the 4 month delay (no mention was made of no kindling).

Normally an ex-display model would be cheaper than a brand new product and when we are collecting ourselves, I would normally expect a reduction in price but I didn't pursue this as I felt we had made the mistake of missing the delivery issues that Skinners Sheds are having.

We picked up the log store (no bags of kindling included) and I was told by the lady managing the show site to email Skinner's.

Having done that, and through many phone calls, I have been told that they won't provide the kindling as this is only included on new log stores.

They are also claiming that as the 10 free bags of kindling wasn't mentioned in the contract I signed, there is nothing they can do unless I pick up the kindling myself from their Head Office 2 hours away. They also wouldn't be offering any reduction in total price.

I personally wasn't expecting to need to sign a contract for a wooden log store, it's not something I would've done had I bought a similar item from B&Q for example, but a warning to all, make sure you read the contract thoroughly before signing otherwise this company will avoid supplying you with what you expect.

Skinner's Sheds are standing by the contract rather than providing good customer service.
If you want good customer service when you buy a product such as this, I would recommend avoiding this company.

Avoid, take your time and look up north
we were in a hurry and went local, poor service and poor quality.

A year ago we visited the site at Hook, looked at some sheds.
We looked around and decided what we wanted.
After a while of no one asking if we needed any help, we went to
the office where the chap just asked the size etc,
added every opinion and then flips a screen round at you. with some silly figure like £6000

Then you have to remove all the bits you don't want, at this point he has not even got out of the seat and gone to shed with you and talked us through any thing.
All he wants to do is sell as many options as possible and goes on and a on about Protec, trying to sell it to you.

We agreed on £4000 8x12 Apex shed. paid the deposit and waited.

Its was delivered along time later and fitted, all looked nice apart from the doors don't line up, and the door ties did not reach, the doors hit the apex of the roof.

Quality is shocking, the floor is JUST thick enough to stand on
and more any your broken through, you can feel it flexing so easily, the wood used is like Balsa wood.

They use thin bits of left over tongue and groove round the edge of the roof to hold the felt that are 2 short and just a another bit of scrap tongue and groove to cove the joint.
Bits of tongue and groove used inside fro bracing, it all looks a bit DIY and made with left over bits.
These sheds are built at min cost and sold at max profit.

Its dose the job but we will never use Skinner Sheds again.

Shop around take your time, I wish we had. 🙁

Couldn't fault Skinners the whole purchase was done online, was given a date for delivery & was delivered on time the two guys were both polite & did a great job putting the shed up, would highly recommend this company. Shed was an Apex 6ftx8ft.
