Skipper recruitment agency is by far the best agency I’ve had the pleasure of working with not only do they have a lot of work and our well organised. The pay is extremely good and exceeds the competition. I would 100% recommend this company if you’re looking for class 1/2 agency work
Regarding pay you can choose how often you’re paid ie weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly
My only regret is i wished I’d registered sooner.
Even while writing this there have been many requests for drivers class 1 and 2 coming through whats app a group you’ll be entered into once registered

If you're looking for a good agency for drivers... Search no more... People in the office spot on(never met them in person) can't say a single bad word about them! So many jobs that if you had 100 lifes you would still not cover them all.... Give them a call... Rates are quite good as well..... I'm really satisfied with them! I would definelty recommend! For full disclosure I worked for Skipper Recruitment for 3 years as of August 2024 and in that time I would honestly say I got 90% of what I wanted, the other 10% was down to Danny Skipper and his unprofessional behaviour and practices

On a personal level DS has no interpersonal skills or diplomacy, if he can't get his way he will act like a spoilt, ego driven child and resort to shouting, intimidation and threats, luckily I only ever spoke to him a few times, but if you ever see a SR advert claiming they have an understanding of drivers and will treat you with courtesy and professionalism because "they are drivers", take that with a giant pinch of salt.

In my 3 years with SR I predominantly worked for the same company but in all that time I had not received a pay rise, despite the contracted drivers receiving continuous annual pay rises, and as stated in UK law agency drivers are to keep "parity" with contracted employee's. When broaching this with SR, I was told the client had in fact reduced their rates, and SR were effectively doing me a favour by not passing this reduction on to me...On further investigation, talking with the client and other rival agencies this obviously turned out not to be true and funnily enough over the past 3 years all drivers from other agencies on the same contract had been receiving annual "parity" pay rises.

So I screenshot the rival agencies enhanced pay rates went back to SR and asked again for a pay rise and an explanation. When confronted DS completely denied the evidence in front of him, and then proceeded to make his usual threats and tired excuses. That was enough for me. I handed in my notice the following week, I'm now in better employment, receiving a proper, higher wage, and haven't looked back, but I think it's important any potential drivers should have a clear picture of SR, and my honest opinion is if you're desperate sure go with SR just keep your eyes open and if you suspect that DS is up to his usual tricks just move on, it really is not worth trying to reason with him or appeal to his better nature or even stating a positive business case, you can't reason with the unreasonable.

DS once said to me "I can replace you with 30 other drivers in a second" well the thing is we can also replace his little agency with 30 others in a second, SR have a terrible reputation with clients, agencies and drivers all around East Anglia and one day that reputation will catch up with him.

And if anyone thinks I'm exaggerating or out right lying for whatever reason by all means contact me I have emails, direct messages, all the receipts and can back up every word I've said and will happily produce these for anyone wanting to see them. All the best..

I don't recommend this agency the person in this age area to arrogant .
He makes you register after he doesn't even answer the message, they promise they have many jobs but they have nothing..
Take great care where you register so you don't waste time with the so-called agency
