I absolutely loved this shop! There is so much to see, and I spent a lot of time just wandering around looking at everything in the various units. Lovely, helpful people working in there. I'm definitely going to be back!

The people who run this are just full of the joy of owning antiques. Their aim is to keep the stock changing all the time so there will always be something delightful to see. After going to many antique shops whose stock was only either expensive or grotty this one restored my faith in trying to buy attractive affordable old furniture.

We specifically drove to Sherborne to have a look at Sherborne Antiques Market.
As we buy a lot.
It had a lovely laid out, with a great mix of prices and genres etc.

Not long in found a lovely hand painted mirror, took it to the counter. Asked to leave it there while we carried on looking. Which was not a problem.
Just after that, a tall person with glasses made its way behind the counter.
Making,
An unnecessary fuss about the mirror? whilst moving it.
Suggesting the customer wouldn't be back? etc. I didn't say anything and left it.
We decided there wasn't anything else, so back to the counter.
As we approach the counter, we hear the same person? Making an announcement.
To the effect
"I can't even say Poofters anymore"!!!
On being informed that it was offensive, it tried to say it was talking to a friend?
Don't care as all could hear, we left leaving the mirror.
So that's 2 customers the other dealers won't have.
Possibly more.
No need for it

Well what can I say?! Fantastic eclectic collection of dealers and well priced. Something for everyone. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, even helping carry my purchases to the carpark. And to top it all off a chocolate brownie! Truly a 5* experience. Thank you. 😊
