Lost 2000 Euros, no guidance, bad rate

I was expecting to receive guidance on the change rate by the advisor but instead got just general statement as "yeah things can move up or down, you decide"

This led me to get a very poor USD to EUR exchange rate of 0.8958 while other competitor would guarantee 0.93 at the same moment.

I was not allowed to pull back my conversion movement and had to accept a 2000Euros lost over the whole operation.

Very disappointed.

Great help for my first international transfer
Last month I used Regency FX to transfer money to Mexico. Since this was my first time transfering money, it made me incredibly nervous.

Thankfully, Jamie at Regency FX was there to guide me through every step of the process. He explained everything, including their fees, and helped me navigate the sometimes-tricky world of international bank transfers. He also helped me find the correct bank information and testing the transfer beforehand.

I found their rate-freezing option really helpful. This allowed me to lock in a favorable exchange rate whenever the market peaked in my favor.

Overall, I highly recommend them!

I recently completed a transaction with Regency FX, transferring QAR into my UK account. I was very nervous and skeptical about the whole process but, as has been mentioned on here, the process was super smooth and worth it. A very stressful experience. Their verbal quote was a lot higher than what they actually offered us once they had our money.
On the Monday, Jamie at Regency FX verbally quoted us €1.1714/£, which was better than anyone else on the day. So we transferred our money to them, but by Thursday, he quoted us less than €1.14/£. The spot rate on Google had hardly changed and other FX companies were still quoting around €1.17/£.
Fortunately, we were in no hurry to send the money so asked that they refund us if they couldn't get near €1.17.
By Friday afternoon, Jamie quoted us €1.1647/£, which we reluctantly accepted (to reduce the hassle factor), which seemed to be about average when compared to other FX traders.
Most of the initial reviews we had seen seemed quite positive, but when we looked further, we saw that there were others who had a similar experience.

Registered currency exchange service in UK. My first & only experience (as an international client) was through their intermediary bank service (IFX payments) in UK.

I knew my sending bank will charge a processing fee but I was assured by Regency FX that my receiving bank won't charge a processing fee, however, I wasn't only charged a fee, I was also charged a currency exchange fee in UK. Moreover, Regency FX competitive exchange rate dropped once I deposited funds in UK (My bad, I should have discussed locking-in the rate before deposit). Their services are avaialbe only during wokring hours, not weekends or holidays, and there is no webiste or mobile application that would give live exchange rate or even allow transfer of funds from UK. Witout 24/7 live rate or instant e-transfer, the service won't work for an international client!

UPDATE: after 4 weeks of funds deposit in UK, I was charged a processing fee at my sending bank by the intermediary bank. That’s unacceptable because I was assured that there won’t be any hidden fees.

To recap my experience: I got charged a processing at both my sending/ receiving banks which is expected, a fee for exchange in UK with a BAD EXCHANGE RATE which is unexpected and another processing fee (4weeks later) by Intermediary bank (IFX payments) which is unacceptable. Today, I confirm their service isn’t recommended at all for an international wire transfers.

In September of last year I transferred a large sum of money for a property purchase using Regency. Jamie was super helpful and very responsive on WhatsApp, which was great whilst I was at work. Would definitely recommend!!
