Called up a store to put a deposit down on a ring. Before giving my card details to her over the phone, I doublechecked that this was indeed a refundable deposit. She confirmed it was. The store isn’t local to me and wasn’t easy to get to. When I got there, the ring wasn’t quite as I expected and I asked if I could think about it and they said of course. I said I would call to let them know what I had decided. I have just called them to get my deposit back. The woman I spoke to told me that they can only refund in store. I explained that I am not local to the store. I also explained that I paid over the phone. Apparently they are happy to take your money over the phone, but they are unwilling to refund. I have emailed customer service as I am genuinely not sure how I can get my money back now. This was my first experience with Ramsdens and I am absolutely disgusted with the service. Please avoid at all cost if you are at all unsure.

Took an old chain into Ramsdens Chesterfield, wasn't 100% sure if it was Gold. A lovely lady named Amy tested it, took some ID and then handed over £250. My Dad will be very happy. Polite, professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Went in recently to look at rings and the staff were very friendly. Mollie was helpful and obliging and, even though I didn’t find a ring I wanted, I ended up leaving with a set of silver earrings which were a real bargain. Prices are reasonable so I’ll definitely be returning soon to see what else they get in.

We visited this jewellers to purchase a gold bracelet which they had to get from there store in Barrow for us. We were told it would be here before 1pm the following day and that they would phone us when it arrived. No phone call and no delivery. It is now a week later and they still haven't got it so we have decided to look elsewhere. This item was valued at just over £1000 so you would think they would make the effort.
