I recently visited Queensmere Observatory Shopping Centre in London, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The variety of shops is impressive, catering to all tastes and preferences. The layout of the centre makes it easy to navigate, and there are plenty of seating areas for a quick break.

The dining options are fantastic, offering a range of cuisines that cater to everyone. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. I also loved the vibrant atmosphere and the events happening throughout the day.

Overall, Queensmere Observatory is a must-visit for anyone looking to shop, dine, and enjoy a great day out. Five stars all the way!

Queensmere Shopping Centre in Slough offers a decent variety of shops, though it’s starting to feel a bit outdated compared to newer shopping malls. You can find popular stores for clothing, electronics, and daily essentials, but the selection is somewhat limited. The centre is usually clean, and the staff in the shops are helpful. Parking is convenient, but the mall could benefit from more dining options and a refresh of its interiors. Overall, it’s a good place for quick shopping, but it could use some modern updates.

I don’t know how any one can rate this more than 1 star. I’d choose no stars if possible. Lived in slough virtually all my life and it’s heartbreaking to see the state of the shopping centre and high street. My last visit I came across a guy urinating in the middle of the high street at 1pm. Just about all major retailers have deserted the town. Only good for mobile cases and fried chicken. A friend asked what they could get in slough…my reply was mugged.

As a lifelong resident of Slough it's sad to see what has become of this shopping centre. Back in the 90s and 2000s it was vibrant and full of mainstream shops attracting shoppers from nearby towns, better than what you'd find in Windsor. Today it's a shadow of that, it's half it's original size, half the units are empty and it's dirty. Most of the shops sell cheap tat. I rarely visit as it's so depressing.

Is it just me or does the shopping centre need some financial investment and redevelopment? I'm not from the area, so I have no vested interest, just a general observation.

There were quite a few premises that were closed, which seemed odd for a Saturday early afternoon plus the last weekend before Christmas (21 December 2024). You'd expect businesses to be trading unless these are vacant premises. It's not great for the local community.

I have no pictures to offer, sorry. The centre just didn't inspire me. It looked tired and soulless. No offence to those who live in Slough or frequent the shops in the centre, it does seem to be a life line for many. There are better offerings on the High Street itself.

My rating: 2.5 stars.

Recommended:
Yes - for those depended on the shops in the centre.
No - for anyone looking for something special, unique, or seeking entertainment.

Good service, timely ride to airport friendly staff and rates.. (what a jock)
Update: Month later, when we had to extend parking services because of late arrival, the charges doubled. So arranged to pick up our car and it won't start. They were supposed to switch on the ignition every few days, but obviously, who knows. So after a few well spent hours power started. Such a waste of money and time.
