Just an impression from a quick walk through...an unusual lay out with very narrow sections and a wide array of stalls selling everything from antiques to carpets & curtains, to fresh meat, and fruit & veg.
The building seemed to be in a bad state of repair in places, but was a pleasant place to be, and had a couple of very appealing cafes. Definitely worth exploring.

So nice to find an indoor market that appears to still be thriving! It's also surprisingly big.
Other people have listed what's available so I won't repeat, but well worth a look, especially if you fancy something to eat and a coffee - there were a few options.
The toilets were 20p to use and I didn't notice any customer toilets attached to any of the businesses.
Clean and mostly pram/ wheelchair friendly, though some areas are narrow or up a step.

There are plenty of places to have food which are mainly sit-ins but my favourite one is next to the welsh cake shop even though it is small and all the staff are happy and friendly and they also like to know their customers to grow a good relationship

I had nothing but attitude from the lady who runs the toilets. My mam is a wheelchair user. She needs assistance getting in and out of the chair. I, as a carer with a carers ID card, was refused entry into the toilet to assist my disabled mother. So, a disabled woman had to struggle and literally crawl from the wheelchair to the toilet without any physical help. Wheelchair users don't have to pay to use the toilet, but as a carer, you surely can't refuse them entry to assist the disabled user.

Love the mix of shops and stalls in here. Love that there are proper butchers and bakers. Great mix of cafés with a variety of dishes and menus.

It's excellent, with a range of stalls, great prices and friendly atmosphere. Has been updated, with new windows letting the sun illuminate a place of history, culture and great food. New café and of course, the famous, prize-winning Janet's Restaurant, authentic Northern Chinese cuisine. Farmers market style fruit and veg stall, a Bread stall sells fresh bread and cakes each day, plus there are several top notch Butchers. A butcher is for life, not just for Christmas.
