Good venue for aqua, and has gym facilities too. limited fare at the cafe and not a good place when packed out as somehow there are only two toilets with two cubicles for men and and 2000 capacity...? but clean.

Venue car park is not too expensive and rarely full even when everywhere is booked. strange.

Sadly after 13 years, I have made the difficult decision to not renew my annual membership. The broken air-conditioning over the summer saw temperatures on the gym floor exceed a truly shocking 28c in some instances, and as summer heatwaves are here to stay, an annual membership simply isn't worth it when it's impossible to comfortably (or indeed, safely) train for at least 3 months of the year. As of writing this review no response has been received over a month after submitting a formal complaint, so it seems there is little interest in addressing or even acknowledging the issue. It certainly did add insult to injury to receive a marketing email during this time celebrating the sauna and steam room facilities reopening. Evidently these areas are more important than providing an acceptable training environment in the gym itself. I will miss the familiar faces I've come to recognise the over the years, but the disappointing handling of this problem has left me with no other option than to take my membership elsewhere.

Had a great experience with Beth. She showed me and my friend around and answered any questions we had about a gym membership. Super helpful and definitely encouraged us both to sign up. Such a warm and friendly centre, not at all intimidating like other gyms can be.

Wow, what a place. We were in Sheffield anyway & I had telephoned previously to enquire about the public sessions. I got the slow, medium, & fast lanes explained & I got an account setup that afternoon & paid for a session in the evening. I walked to the pool from the hotel & purchased a new pair of goggles from the shop upstairs. Needed a trolley token for the locker but they sell those too.
I didn't realise there was a water polo match or session going on but I jumped into the medium lane of the 50m pool. 2m deep across the whole length but there's a ledge you can put your feet on when resting at the end of the length. This place is amazing. Setup for almost all aquatic sports. Plus a trampoline area. As it's in Sheffield the people are probably more friendly than the southern places in the network. Everyone Active is the system. Not one close to me here but the Lido is just over 50m near my city centre. I will be back to Ponds Forge.

Iona has been absolute wonderful! I had a complaint (not about Ponds Forge just about life cos life be lifing sometimes) and she was there to listen to me yap. This is some wonderful soft + people skills not even my therapist pays this much attention to detail sometimes.

Whilst we’re here, Iona has also helped me with my actual concerns like kindly help me booked to a lane swimming for the first time and navigate my way seamlessly! She gave me a gold band too! Feels like I own a Cartier bracelet. She just radiates positive energy and gives confidence. I used to do 7kg now I do 8! Progress is better than no progress amirite?

She’s an absolute gem and apparently she’s been here 2 months?!?!? I call fibs, it’s like she’s a Ponds Forge veteran!

One other things, she knows her stuff! That builds so much confidence to customers no? Like members parking so quick so seamless, take my £1 right a way. But wait… I sometimes park at Q Park and she knows that it is expensive and Everyone Active got a partnership where I can get 25% off! I didn’t even have to ask, she took the initiative to let me know! Maybe it’s a way to shut me up when talking about how much pain I’ve been at the gym from my work out.

Anyways I have a lot more to say but I’m not here to waste your time so… shout out Iona! give me an I, give me an O, give me an N, give me an A… GOOOO IONAAAA

Terrible Terrible Terrible
I had a very disappointing experience with this swimming centre. From the beginning, setting up two accounts for myself and my son took far too long. I booked a private swimming lesson for my son, which was cancelled just four hours before the session. When I asked for another appointment, they told me nothing was available for a month.

I then tried to book group lessons through their app and paid, but my account was suddenly locked. For three days I tried to contact them with no solution. Even when I went in person, the staff and supervisor could not resolve the issue. Eventually, they discovered that the receptionist had not linked my card to my email properly. After wasting so much time, I asked to cancel all my bookings and get a refund. Instead of offering help or even asking why I wanted to leave, I was told to wait for approval.
What frustrated me most was not only the technical mistakes but the complete lack of care for the customer. No one tried to ask about my decision, offer alternatives, or apologise properly. My son was excited for his lesson, and all of this left us both disappointed.
I do not recommend this centre. Poor organisation, weak communication, and no respect for the customer’s time. I will not be registering my child here again.

I have been swimming and working out in Ponds Porge during my stay in 2025. The facilities are excellent and staffs are friendly
