recently visited seeing the new renovations, but it was just ok. staff were lovley albeit a bit new. we ordered the goats pizza and jackfruit loaded fries, the pizza was very small and im pretty sure the base was frozen so if youre thinking of getting it to share, dont! , and the jackfruit was cold when we got it. it wasnt bad but it wasnt worth the £20. overall the atmosphere is nice aswell as the staff from what i could gather but its definitley pricey for the amount served.

We loved this place so much that in a 4 day trip, we went twice (one for dinner, one for breakfast)
The food was insane. with really good portions of burgers. I had the Vegan one and it tasted amazing, but I am aware the others were excellent choices too as my friends commented.
For breakfast... Whatever you order - Welsh, English, veggie or Vegan - they all were full of flavour.
The service was really good, the waiters were nice and helpful at all time, but it took a little bit too long for the dinner - around 45 minutes to serve the food.
It is a shame the breakfast kitchen does not open until 9am, it would make so much money if they opened earlier as there was already a queue.

Overall, I fully recommend this place if you are nearby!

Disappointed with the food - frozen pizzas that hadn't defrosted properly and were very undercooked by the time they arrived so we had to send 3 back and wait a long time for them to be reheated, stale tacos, and a lack of fresh ingredients. We pre-ordered for a group of 15 for a special occasion and were put upstairs in a clinical feeling room with no vibe/ambience. A great espresso martini on the flip side, and friendly service.

Recently opened and it showed with staff that we’re lacking in experience and how to run a busy bar/restaurant.

We had to chase our drinks a few times, as well as the bill. Service was slow, but they were all new and looked like they were all trying their best.

Food when it arrived though was excellent. Lots of it, and of a high standard. They also had a good selection of Welsh beers.

We’ definitely go back here when we’re next in Llanberis. A place with a lot of potential.

Food portions were great and tasty. We had a selection of pizzas, fries and side salads. Waiting staff were extremely attentive, offering a refill of water as soon as we'd emptied the bottle and checked we were ok just the right amount of times so as not to be intrusive. Very busy too but they were still on it. From a former catering employee with experience both sides of the pass, well done!

Nice food cooked well
Like a lot of other folk have said may be a little bit more would be nice. The service ok a lot of the staff seemed young and inexperienced but that will come will time. It is nice to see employment in the local area.

Best food in Llanberis. I like the nod to the ‘old’ place.

The old ‘Pete’s’ in recent years had really poor service and really poor food. I no longer went!

I am glad things change with the times.
I do miss all the old climb etc pics

I have had an evening meal and brunch and enjoyed both.
I will be back.

Thanks

The full breakfast is fantastic! Great service in a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the vegetarian sausages that you can even order alongside the bacon option- the best veggie sausages I have ever eaten!
All local Welsh produce. A great range of beer on tap. Great coffee too. Will be going back!

I’ve read reviews of people complaining this “isn’t what it used to be” it’s not “like the old days”. Once upon a time, Pete’s was a great gathering place for climbers, walkers and all the outdoor folks of Llanberis. In the years leading up to its closure, the food was pants, the service slow and it was pretty unclean and chaotic.

My first time in the new Pete’s this morning, and yes it’s different to the old days, but the food was good (huge Welsh breakfast for £13.50) and the famous pints of tea for £2.25.
The staff were polite and welcoming, greeting people in both Welsh and English, and the place was clean and tidy throughout.

Yes it’s modern, and some people won’t like that, but lots of people will, locals and tourists, climbers and non-climbers.
