wow! lived here over a year now and never been out and about to see this market in action. lots of lovely nick nacks, served with a huge chunk of community spirit. i would much rather pop down here to buy my produce compared to a large supermarket chain 🍌i could imagine though the stalls and their stock may change quite often. i have to say, i could definitely continue to smell the fish stall from a good 20 metres away! but still a lovely environment x

Accidentally visited the market just before the vendors closed their stands. Northfield Farm stand sold us the best ever sausages. Won’t cheap but c’mon, THE best sausages!!! The pies are decent too. Will visit again! We are thinking about yo move closer to them!😂

Fruit and veg stall, B Faulkner and sons. I recently been using Oakham market and on a couple of occasion was let down by the Fruit and veg stall. Got home and one of the lemon was rotten which they must have noticed since they picked them up for me. The last time I went as I wanted to give it another go in case it was an oversight from their part, I was sold 300grs of walnut as half a pound which was meant to be 450grs, did not say anything at the time I was not sure of the conversion. Not trustworthy, be aware when you shop there. Products generally of good quality but do not last. I usually go around 8am when it is not busy so not excuses for getting it wrong!

Everything you could really want from a small market.
We generally go on Friday in Uppingham or Saturday in Oakham.

Visit Robbie for your meat from Northfield farm. The bread man do some delicious crusty cobs. Lots of fruit and veg to choose from. Then there’s also a nice selection of flowers! Worth a visit.
