Hanging on in there at a near derelict and empty square... Best of luck! I fear markets and market halls are finished. Update... On its last legs, go to Asda and have done with it.

Call this a market hall.. at best this is just a shop selling tattoo.
Very poor indeed, where and why demolish part of the towns historically built indoor market.
Newton Abbot has deteriorated badly in my view.

The stalls are in temporary accommodation whilst the market is rebuilt. Although a bit cramped, there are still some good buys to be had at a good price.

Great place for a look round. Buy all my books here as get half the money back when you return them.
Sadly the book shop inside has gone now but there is a cheap stall outside. Still some good stalls here.
Market is closed for refurbishment at the moment but small indoor market is in the old post office.

Traffic congestion bad at times due to roads being shut off. Not enough seating in the market place unless you buy from the stalls. Taking too long to renovate Queen Street. Need a decent hardware store. Nice lot of cafes and restaurants although fish and chips is no longer a cheap meal.

Don't bother. Nothing here anymore except for a few odd stalls that the council have allowed to stay. Get yourself to Tavistock and experience what Newton Abbot market could have been.
