Had a great experience here - a modern food hall with plenty of quality vendors. It’s easy to order via the QR code system then food is delivered to the table by friendly staff.

We ordered food from three different places and all the food was good. The Burger Boyz smash burger stood out as excellent, as well as the tasty donuts.

Only negative is that tables weren’t clearly very well, so previous customers’ leftover food and dirty dishes were left hanging around

I love this venue, with all the varied food places in one space! We usually park in the Friars Walk car park and if you head towards the bus station from there it's a 3 min walk in a straight line to the venue.

You can sit and scan the QR code on the table to order without having to go to the stalls. My favourite Korean food stall is not on the QR code list for some reasons? The place is big, it's first come first serve if you want a table, other than that you can order to takeaway from most of the places I think. The place is busy on weekends when I've visited for lunch or dinner.

I have visited 5 times for far from Bristol, just for the food market, it's a must visit place for the food lovers! It caters a varied range of cuisines, from the not so healthy to the healthiest, accessible and clean overall (my only criticism is the fact that tables are left with cutlery and plates from previous customers and not wiped down... they should have one or 2 waiters solely dedicated to look after clearing the tables and wiping them down as customers hardly take time to clear the tables themselves!

There are some independent shops around the food court, a hairdresser, a soft play area, a vintage sweet shop, a place selling brownies (they had some tasters yesterday and their brownies are gooey and not sickly sweet!!! I will order next time I go for sure as I already ordered from Ostuni for my sweet craving of the day!), a guy selling cheesecakes in a jar, a Welsh cakes shop, a place selling healthy food and drinks, some businesses are upstairs I believe.
I saw a poster advertising a "Breakfast with Bluey" event on 20th October.

Food stall review so far:
My favourites are K-Way (Korean food place) and Ostuni (Italian bakery), see pictures!
The South Indian food place is good but their sweet crunchy candy on top of savoury food is a weird combo.
One of my friend loves the taco place (small portions for the price for my liking but I'll have to try them one of these days)
Another friend tried the Greek place and she liked it, although having a plate would have made the experience even better as it was difficult to mix her salad in the bowl filled to the brim!
The doughnut place is popular with kids, they are huge, fluffy and colourful. The icing/decorations are visually amazing!
I've tried the thai food place and loved their sticky rice bowl.
I've seen other tables order pizzas and burgers and they look so good, so that'll be on my list to try next!
There is a bar/cocktail place too. Yesterday I saw a waiter walk past with a pastel purple coloured cocktail with some candy floss, that I am curious about now 😂

Sad. How not to run a market. Call it a food court rather. Not a single greengrocer, butcher, cheese shop, baker, deli or fishmonger. Shame on the council for doing this to a beautiful building that should be the centre of commerce in Newport and letting supermarkets rule supreme.

A lovely market with multi-cuisine food stalls with a nice common seating area in the middle. Not cheap as prices for a meal start from around £13. Will be back to try the other stalls!

By far one of the nicest places to eat and socialise in Newport. Great seeing so many small businesses thrive and the refurb has been done really well. Recommend! Now if more places like this can pop up in South Wales that would be great

Second time here and it didn't disappoint again. Food was quick and really tasty, i would really recommend the Italian restaurant, the ravioli starter was lovely. The smash burgers are beautiful and tasty, so is the wraps from the Greek restaurant. Overall great evening out I would recommend trying this place if you haven't.

Love the market, the place looks great and the food at the different shops are a must try. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the cocktails, they look great but taste like slightly flavoured water.
