Been to market palce and love the plant stall which was very busy. Thought get some when way back and my bad because the market was closed till that time. Btw it's good to have some local stuff in friendly atmosphere.

Used to be a heaving market place but still has declined over the years , still sone good stalls to visit like fruit and vegetables, florists , toys , clothing , household items and others , also some hot food outlets with seating

Once apon a time it was a thriving market sadly now there is more life in a graveyard

Although the market square is supposed to be the hub of Mansfield town unfortunately it is not.

The market was supposed to be bigger now that all trader have been stopped from trading on Westgate and join with the rest of the traders, but alas that is not the case. There is no market on Monday.

With all the money spent to have a water feature on the square installed, it has never been switched on at all this year and the seating in front of the town hall is pointless as flower baskets have been installed making it in possible to sit back and relax on the benches.

The area is also meant be pedestrian zone but you have to dodge the many cyclists that fly past you at speed.

So until some of the issues raised here are addressed it is only a Three star review.

Had a spare day with nothing to do so took the wife.to say we were disappointed is an understatement .n ever been to such a poor market or such a run-down town. We never felt safe while we were there and that was in the day . Will not be going back

Absolute trash. "The market that time forgot" there is NOTHING here unless you want tired old fruit and veg, questionable fashions or to do the "smack-rat slalom" I'd steer well clear. How some people manage to go to the Town, let alone the market
every day and actually ENJOY it is beyond me.
