Visited on a perfectly sunny day which meant we could have great views from all the various vantage points from within the castle. As it was described as a ruin wasn't expecting much but it was a real highlight. You can wander around the whole castle, climb up all the spiral staircases and have a really good time. Nice little gift shop as well and friendly staff. A great place and admission price is good value.

A place worth visiting. Beautiful views around, large territory. The castle has history, our guide told a lot of interesting things about life in it. Listening to her you seem to be immersed in that time. We spent two hours with pleasure.

We visited on a lovely sunny afternoon in October. We bought the 50p guide and spent the afternoon visiting each part of the castle. It was fascinating to learn about the history and how the castle has changed over time. There was also a wedding there that day. The views are amazing. Would recommend if you are visiting Ludlow.

A beautiful Castle steeped in history and wonder. I absolutely love visiting Ludlow Castle.

The stone staircases are quite steep but the views are magnificent once you reach the top of the Castle edges.

Love the green spaces around the Castle and the family activities.
Great picnic areas too.

It is perfect that the Castle areas are family and dog Friendly.

There's a gorgeous cafe and gift shop which is beautifully stocked well.

A definite visit for an tourist coming to visit Ludlow. I would highly recommend Ludlow Castle and all it has to offer.

Great place to visit.

It's an amazing castle that's just the right mix of authenticity and restoration for the comfort of visitors.

There is plenty of history on show, all well told with the use of information boards. There are lots of steps to climb too, just take your time and be careful.

Let's be honest castles are great to look at but can be boring however Ludlow is so impressive you've got to go. For 9quid it's pretty good. Lots of steps to climb. Fantastic views. And steeped in amazing history.

Entry is only £9 what a find!! Amazing huge ruin, plenty to look at and loads to walk around, alot of interesting information dotted around to read, loads of stairs to climb in the towers with great views I only managed 1 as my knees gave out! Lol but highly recommended a visit it's really interesting and a beautiful ruin and for the price it's well worth it!
