This visit to Keele SU was for Keele Day, an out of term time event for alumni.
The SU has all the facilities you would expect, a bright, and spacious food and drink area with outdoor spaces, a bar and a ballroom. As a student, I went to a lot of concerts in there.
There’s a shop off the foyer selling Keele SU merchandise.
In the 1970s extension, were additional shops and a Gregs.
All-in-all, it looked pretty good and it was great to be back there.

Been to see The Alarm & Big Country great venue..Plenty of parking space,relatively easy get a beer,and good toilets.

Cheap and great for a night out. Friendly staff and scruffy does fab food. Good location.
At Christmas they have this awesome German beer tent in the out back- that's what my pictures mostly show.

One bar had a great choice of beers and spirits and plenty of staff. The other two bars were far less well stocked and staffed. To add to the dissatisfaction, the better of the bars closed first. Also, beware that the advertising times may not match what happens. The bars close earlier than advertised and the band finished their set 45 minutes early. The venue did have a great atmosphere overall.

Overall this is a middle of the road place. The food is passably albeit bland and overly expensive for what it is.

The nights out are decent but overly expensive with 30 pound a ticket on some nights and you don't get a free drink with that.

The atmosphere is like any night club.

The bar service is painfully slow during events as the bar won't often have half as many people that could be working it. I have seen queues six or seven people deep across the whole bar.
