After travelling all day and going up all four floors to the exchange bureau, the member of staff who greeted me said that her colleague would be with me in a while. I waited while her colleague chatted to another member of staff, only for her to finally tell me she was closing down at 17:15 and couldn't help me. This was despite it being advertised on the John Lewis website as closing at 17:30. There was nothing to say the store would be observing bank holiday hours.
