We did the Freedom Tour which departed and returned to the Clansman Harbour.
It was around a 20min cruise up Loch Ness to Urquhart Castle where we departed for an hour tour of the Castle.
The Price incuded the cruise and Castle Entry and was very reasonable for the 2hr tour.
The boat had plenty of room inside and out and due to the favorable weather we sat outside on the top deck which provided spectacular views.
The Staff and crew were terrific and helpful, everything was very easy and we never felt rushed.
I would definitely do this again!

A highlight to our UK trip! The Loch was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the ship was steady. While we traveled they played info about the area, including geological, historical, and fun myths and legends. We opted for the cruise with a stop at Urquhart Castle which I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our hour long cruise with Jacobite Loch Ness Cruises. Great panoramic views of Urqhart castle. It’s not quite an hour out on the water but still an enjoyable amount of time and they have an audio script that plays to share the castles history. Next time we may book the tickets that included the castle tour to get more out of the experience.

Very comfortable ride over to Urquhart Castle. You can sit inside to be warm and protected against the Wind or you can go out onto the dock to try to get pictures. Perfect ride on a beautiful day across the Loch Ness.

THE VALUE WASN' T WORTH IT
This is a fairly standard one-hour boat trip on Loch Ness, with some basic narration about the lake and its surroundings. It departed and returned on time, and made a short stop in front of Urquhart Castle, which is located just about a mile south of the departure point.
Important: If you want to get off and explore the castle, make sure you book the tour option that includes the visit – this one only passes by the site.

TIP: If you’re not driving, consider other options. The departure point is quite far from Inverness city.

The Jacobite Loch Ness boat trip took about an hour which was just right. The "destination" is a point offshore at the Urquhart Castle, a great photo-op. The boat has both indoor and outdoor (topside) seating, so poor weather can be mitigated. However, on the day of my visit, aside from chill air, the weather was fine. I enjoyed the narration which included historic and cultural subjects. Reasonably priced- highly recommended!

Great time! The crew is very well organized and everything is run smoothly. We did the quick 1-hour tour and it was the perfect amount of time to see and learn a little about Loch Ness. Cannot confirm if we did or did not see Nessie 😉
