I started my tax return with insync on the 5 April.at first everything was fine they asked me to link my bank account to luna which I did.two weeks later they tell me they cannot see all three years transactions they could only see 24to25 but 22to23 and 23to 24 they could on partially see those years which doesn't make sense so I got three years bank statements so got them on 23april and asked them to send me some S.A.E on the 28april. 2 weeks later I still hadn't received so on about of May I asked for them again 2 weeks later they arrive, now we are at the end of may, I send them back and June the 16th they submit the returns at the end of they say there penalties. I said can you appeal penalties they said no I said yes you and had to pester them to do it.and told different things from department.then I find out from hrmc that they haven't sent it the proof of my income for 22to23 and 23to24 costing me 1600 pound in the 2 returns and then to charge nearly a thousand pound for the privilege wow and with the other charges they have added means they have had about 1500 pound to do this and it has taken 4months to do it wow .just had reply from there complaints department sent the complaint on the 7th of August and by 2pm on the 8 they replied .we looked into your complaint and we believe we have acted appropriately.yeah right if they acted that quickly with a complaint pity the don't act so quickly doing your returns and the person they have dealing with the complaints is one of the employee's I was complaining about talk about bias.to the ombudsman.some advice if you have dealings with insync make sure you record all your calls with them as the like to forget what they have said to you.ps just too add the recent developments with insync. they eventually sent my bank statements 22,23 and 23,24 and highlighted the income 2 weeks when by and no response from insync.i called for an update and was told I will have to check so the next day I received at text saying they were no longer my agent and I would have to deal with hmrc directly after they had already had taken payment for those two returns from the 24,25 return needless to say I did that and spoke to the account officer for my case and thanked me for telling insync to send the statements and as a result of that there would be an additional 1,845.69 funds to be returned to me which I would of lost if I would of followed the insync tax specialist as as the penalties .so surely they should know these things if there a tax specialist accountants.the only specialist attention I got was how to mess a clients tax accounts .hence why I stepped in to save myself 2,400 pound so use insync if you dare

Rang me about getting a 40% advance on 25/26 tax rebate.. told me it was a flat £350 fee which would be taken out of my full rebate in April..
What a con.. wanted to charge £180 for the advance the another £400 on top of that to do the rebate next year.. avoid

Been having issues with this company for over 3 months now. They signed me up to some sort of vat flat rate scheme, I signed up but then decided I wanted to opt out. They made it very difficult to do so. Now I owe over £2000 to hmrc because in-sycn told me they would complete and send off a vat return and never did. I keep calling to resolve the issue but each employee at the company are telling me different things. Very unprofessional and unorganized.

Asides from beyond expensive yh, they're very unprofessional. Worked with them last year they handled my tax returns and VAT which was done without incident. This year after several phone conversations confirming our continued working relationship, they dropped several of my coworkers and I without notice, incident or informating us. Then proceed to gaslight us that our account agent will call but never did. You have a right to discontinue the service but inform so I won't waste time waiting on call you said was coming . Lucky it only goes to 1star

Unfortunately my experience with in sync accountants has been terrible. They seem to lure you in with large estimates of tax back from self assessment and then once they have been paid they simply don't care about their clients. Due to a mistake which was made on their end I now owe the tax man a large amount of money from the 23/24 tax year. They charge a large amount of money for filing the self assessment but take no liability to mistakes made.
I paid their fee which is in the hundreds and now I am told by hmrc that I owe them over 400 pounds.
My advice is to stay away as there are cheaper and more reliable accountants out there.
