Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest and kindest staff who made us feel genuinely welcome. The service throughout our stay was impeccable—every request was met with a smile, and the team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

The rooms were wonderfully comfortable, featuring luxurious linens and tasteful décor that made it feel like a true retreat. And the views—absolutely breathtaking!

The restaurant deserves special praise as well—the food was phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor, making each meal a highlight of our stay.

The only area for improvement, and truly the only one, would be the atmosphere in the restaurant. There is currently no music, and while that may seem like a small detail, the total silence makes guests feel like they have to whisper. It’s my understanding the owner prefers it this way, but hospitality is about creating the best experience for the guests, and some gentle background music would completely transform the ambiance—allowing diners to relax and enjoy the wonderful food and conversation without feeling self-conscious.

Overall, this hotel offers everything you could want: gorgeous surroundings, exceptional comfort, world-class service, and unforgettable dining. With the simple addition of some quiet music in the restaurant, it would truly be perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

We began with a stroll through the beautiful gardens and a drink outside in the sun before heading into the restaurant. The meal was truly outstanding – one of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was impeccably prepared, well balanced, and full of flavour. The beef was the standout, perfectly cooked with a generous portion, which I loved. We finished with an excellent selection of British cheeses, the perfect end to an unforgettable dining experience. Hambleton Hall is a very special place and one I can’t wait to return to.

This is a lovely property for a peaceful and relaxing break. There is a very strong personal service element here. |Stunning dinner and wine. I had probably the best grouse dish I’ve ever eaten. |Slightly disconcerting that reception staff keep wanting to take your room key off you when you come downstairs.

This was our first visit to this establishment and unlikely to be our last. All the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Our Treetops room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The adjoining en-suite as super. Dinner was first class, brilliant staff and very tasty fare well presented, rabbit and lamb dishes were delightful. Dinning experience was discrete and peaceful, loved the cheese trolley and selection of cheeses. Superb walks, great pool, lovely surroundings in all the gardens and public rooms, all round pleasant and fantastic experience. All topped off with room service breakfast, superb. Cannot fault anything about our time here.

Lovely scenic views, outdoor area was the best out of everything else. The food was really pretty but too much added sugar, it was all very sweet including the main meals.
The restaurant was a little depressing, no background noise, it would have been a nice touch to add some piano music or jazz playing subtly in the background. Would come back again but only to sit in the garden area.
Have to say the short younger female staff working outside was quite rude, didn’t have a smile or have a friendly attitude.

Impeccable service by friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing and easily the best I've ever had. I only took photos of two courses but every course was incredible. True artistry!

There are lots of positives about this hotel; location, setting, service, facilities, comfort to name a few.|BUT, it’s not a cheap place (in fact it’s expensive) so I would have at least expected tea and coffee to be available in the room. It seems such a stingy thing to omit.|We weren’t blown away by bathroom either and I could imagine the shower would have been difficult to access if anyone had mobility issues. Overall very lovely but, for me, a couple of small improvements would have justified the expense.

Excellent as usual and quite a surprise to find the food was the best ever experienced there. And we have been visiting for just over 25 years!|Renovations and room updates are perfect but we did find one very annoying problem. In the bar you cannot get a decent G&T because they serve a very poor tonic. Full of sugar and not a Fevertree in sight. 1 star for G&T's.|No A/C in 28 degrees was a problem but they coped very well.
