Wow! Amazing foreign exchange currency rates with no commission, no hidden fees, no handling charges!! The best in town really, and such fantastic customer service!!! This is the place to go to change your money!!!

Also What a fantastic store with so much Doctor Who items for shirts to mugs to books to toys to badges to keyrings to plates and everything else Doctor Who related!!! And a wide range of London, and Great Britain souvenirs with great offers and very affordable prices!!!

Questionable business practices. Bought 77 pounds worth of souvenirs in September 2024. I had travelled throughout Switzerland and the UK without every needing to withdraw Swiss Francs or British Pounds, but instead used credit card for everything, since pretty much everywhere takes contactless credit card payments. I was surprised to see that a few days later on my credit card account that I had a $10 "cash advance fee." I knew it was a mistake since I had not withdrawn cash in Switzerland or the UK. I called the bank and found out that it was billed to me since EC Money Exchange ran the contactless credit card transaction as a WIRE TRANSFER, thus ensuring that they don't pay credit card fees on credit card transactions, but rather it is passed on to the customer - in this case 7.62 pound cash advance fee.

Service was great; staff was very pleasant. This however is not an acceptable business practice. Either (a) take credit cards like everyone else or (b) state upfront that there is a small fee to use a credit card but DON'T (c) charge a credit card transaction as a WIRE TRANSFER to save yourself the 2.5% (approximately) charge to the merchant for the credit card transaction.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS BEWARE: I was in this shop to only purchase souvenirs, but the transaction came up as a cash exchange on my credit card bill and so my bank charged me a cash advance fee. For buying a coffee mug. I don't know if this is because of how the merchant has their business categorized with their credit card handling service? I guess they do not have a separate way of taking payments when only goods are purchased. If you are only going in to buy Doctor Who merchandise (like I did) I would highly recommend using pounds (if you have any) and save yourself the headache of dealing with your bank when you return home. They were friendly and do offer a wide selection of items. Very convenient near the TARDIS and the tube entrance, so three stars.
