I passed my driving test on the 14th of August but unfortunately my address had changed and I had to get a form from the post office myself and register my documents for the license at the new address and send it to the DVLA center. It's been three weeks now but no news. It is not from issuing a certificate

Craig the driving examiner was so lovely and helpful! Calmed my nerves right down before and during my test and I’m usually very anxious. Never usually leave reviews but he was so friendly I had to take the bad name away from examiners!

It seems so pathethic looking at the reviews and the whole complex process of exchanging a non GB license. I'm worried to send them my original passport, BRP, original non UK license, as if i lose them all? šŸ¤” Their customer service line is extremely poor and disappointing, as they never answered my calls. Struggling to send them the fee in cheque or postal order, which is not clear in D1 form and my bank refuses for postal order. TbH DVLA in UK is still living in 1950s, where the other countries like UAE have much smooth, customer ease oriented and quite simple online process of licensing. Sad. Deserves 1 🌟.

Just received a letter from DVLA to renew driving license in 10 days, only thing is the letter came after sending the license off for renewal. Trying to find ways to contact DVLA to track the process and they have been all useless. Cannot drive without a license and this is putting extra pressure on citizens, get back to normal šŸ˜’ DVLA.

I sent paper work to register a foreign vehicle. The response was quick and well written and have no concerns over the timings of the actions as they stated it could take a while and it was about half the time stated.

It does bother me however that there is no online system for me to have just sent scans. I had to post, the original copies of car documents (including german version of a V5C tax letters, scans of ID etc). This was unsettling as we didn't have anything to link ownership to the car for several weeks if anything had happened. They also destroy all of these documents so we have no record now of the car coming from germany in that sense. Further to this, needing to send back the german plates to germany requires sending the original form they destroyed so now we are in a sticky situation of proving that the plates came off the car they did!! If this was online we could send this document back to germany with the plates and it would be sorted there instead. It seems like the system is archaic and based off when we used to walk into the local branch.

Online systems would also be faster, cost less postage, be less unsettling than posting original documents (which could be lost etc). Other than that the process went quickly once I had filled out all of the insane forms.

Very unprofessional and useless organisation in UK. There is no online portal Available for appeals and customer service is full of confused people. Because of lack of information between departments we as a customers suffering alot.

If you can't sort out complaints and appeals on time then this should closed it's just a tag DVLA but no help is available.

Extremely unsatisfied from DVLA

Driving examiner , mark harshly and simply just cold and unhelpful. If your non-white , consider fail on your driving test as they will mark you down very well. poor organisation

Just been ill for 2 weeks and the hospital told me that I had to check to see if I can drive my car. Most of the 0300 numbers are out of order. The rest are engaged. What a awful service for someone who just wants to be on the correct side of the UK laws.
