Cle France - An absolutely brilliant company.
So professional, but really important, so, so helpful.
If your considering moving to live in France and searching for property then this is the site to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so knowledgeable, and will help you all the way.
They also have a lovely write-up every month about life and living in France. A must read.

The team at Clé was superb. They fully listened to our spec / wish list and provided regular updates on new properties as they became available. We arranged a week’s visit to France especially to see a selection of houses and their support with the logistics of that we excellent. It’s stressful enough dealing with house viewings in the UK, so the thought of doing so in France was terrifying !! Clé handled it all seamlessly for us, which made for an incredibly enjoyable experience. Their description of all their properties was clear and unambiguous, with a super-honest appraisal of things like proximity to roads, shops, neighbours etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to a potential seller or to any potential buyer.

Unfortunately I've had a bad experience with this company. It appears to be run by a Mr & Mrs David and Sharon Evans who apparently employ a team of agents in France who source French properties from local immobiliers and advertise them on Mr & Mrs Evans' British Cle France website.

Cle France therefore appears to be a go-between or middle-man operation between the French selling agent and the UK buyer.

My requests for further information about a few properties advertised in the UK through Cle France have unfortunately met with an unhelpful response from Mrs Evans, with abrupt and dismissive excuses given for not providing requested further information.

I've found that if a property advertised by Cle France looks appealing it's better to do some online research and find the local immobilier actually selling the property and deal with them direct, rather than try to deal with Sharon Evans' Cle France.

*Edit 30th Jan 2024 in response to Mrs Evans' below comment in relation to this honest review:

Mrs Evans tries to assert that I have been discourteous or rude in my few email communications with her since Feb 2022.

In fact the opposite has been true.

I have responded at all times with the utmost courtesy and respect, despite Mrs Evans' rude responses to my genuine and polite requests for further information about a handful of French properties advertised by her company since Feb 2022.

The suggestion that this honest review has been made with 'malicious intent' is nonsensical.

Even when I told this company that I didn't need any assistance with foreign currency I was contacted by their agent. I didn't even look at any properties with them. I would avoid at all costs. Way too pushy and intrusive!

We have sent quite a lot of web enquiries to most of the leading advertisers with regard to French properties. Sharon and the team at Cle France have been exceptional, by far the best. Responding quickly and keeping us up to date on the French housing market.
