We had a lovely lunch of soup and sandwich. The soup, leek and potato, was homemade and good but to my palate was too salty. The coronation chicken sandwich was superb. Lovely service and atmosphere. Not cheap but will be back.

Welcoming staff. Coffee and tasty cake (great selection) for "elevens's". Went back for lunch. Had "£4 special" small soup and roast beef with spicy salad sandwich. Impressed, and would go again. My local friend goes regularly, often with her disabled mother. We were allowed to take a small well behaved dog inside but chose the table outside.

Kilbarchan and the familys will be reasonable about this matter.
We don't want slick boutique cafes,go elsewhere. The people are happy with Bobbins and Food, atmosphere, ambiance of old style village cafe.
Staff are never rude it's a place where many families have spent many great times.
1 Star is gross undertaking.
Don't change let this Malcontent go elsewhere.

As always we LOVED IT. Go with my 92 year old dear friend and they make portion sizes of whatever she wants as she doesn't have a big appetite. We always book a table to make sure we get in. All home-made soups, snacks, specials, great staff. Cannot think of anything to fault it. Great customer care, service and everyone extremely pleasant.👏

Why would anyone give this cafe reviews that do not represent reality is beyond me. Residents are likely to do this as there is no other cafe so they don't want to lose the only one there is. The truth is, Kilbarchan needs a new modern cafe that fits in with what young families need in this lovely village. This is NOT it. It is old fashioned (not in a good way), tired, cold and with an uninviting atmosphere of an industrial cafe from the 60s or 70s. There is only one young lady who is lovely (I think she also makes jewellery) but other staff members have a little bit of an attitude. It feels like this place has not changed for decades and what I mean by this, it has not improved, it is stale and they have got away with the lack of investment as they have monopoly in this village. Hopefully, this will change. All of the families need a lovely, modern, inviting place to sit with their babies and older kids. Perhaps with a play corner. Most of the younger families visit cafes in nearby villages such as Bridge of Weir or Kilmacolm. So a lot of capital is lost in Kilbarchan. I do not mean to attack anyone. I'm stating the facts that so many people are scared to discuss. Either this cafe should fully change or a new place will emerge. Either way, the cafe is in need of full transformation regardless.

Excellent little cafe, friendly welcome and very good value for money. The picture here doesn't do the bright well decorated interior justice. If on the cycle route or just nearby Bobbins is well worth a visit.

I was craving soup. I asked the girls at The Weaver’s Cottage where to go and they suggested,Bobbins. It was a great choice. The soup was “Country Vegetable “, just like my husband’s Mum makes. The tea was spot on perfect and the caramel shortcake was to die for. (Take some to go)! The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was great. I couldn’t have been more pleased!
