Banham Zoo - Norwich

I came here today with my fiancé and our 1 year old daughter.. We all really enjoyed ourselves, had a lovely day looking at all the animals, showing our daughter all the animals (her favourite was the howler monkeys!). We will definitely bring her back again when she is older. Lots of animals were out, the staff were friendly and overall it was a good atmosphere. 😀

We decided to go on one of the hottest days so not many of the animals were out. It’s a very big area and caters brilliantly for the children. I love the fact you can hire buggies and mobility scooters, the train was always packed and there was plenty of staff around. I took off a star as even though it was a good day out wasn’t the best zoo we have visited and if we didn’t take our time we would have been round it in an hour! We loved the tropical area so much.

Haven't been here for years and took my 7 year old granddaughter. Can't blame zoo but weather was so hot all the animals were hiding in shade so we're hard to see. Some enclosures and areas looked tatty and would have like a few more interactive things to interest children and adults around. We did love the train ride which was very popular.

Nice zoo. It's in sections so you can easily find where you are going. The pizza restaurant was good. Not great but was fine. The animals there were well kept and had a large space to roam in.

At first we thought there wasn't a lot here, but managed to stay for 4 and a half hours and saw some animals, the giraffe's and tiger being my favourite. Seems to be a family based attraction. Had a reasonably priced jacket potato in the restaurant. Everywhere seemed to being maintained the day we visited and the animals seemed hard to spot. So pleased we got a discount voucher.

Visited Banham Zoo recently and overall had a nice time. The zoo is well laid out with a good variety of animals, and the staff were friendly and helpful. That said, there were a few downsides during our visit — there were quite a lot of wasps around, which made eating outside a bit tricky. Some animals were also hard to spot, either because they were hiding or further back in their enclosures. It was quite busy on the day we went, which meant some areas felt crowded.

Despite this, we still enjoyed the day. The grounds are clean and well-kept, and there’s a good mix of species to see. It’s a nice place for families, and we’d be happy to visit again, perhaps on a quieter day.

Visited on our way back from a trip to Norwich. Really glad we did, although the zoo was busy there is so much space we rarely felt crowded. Saw all the animals we possibly could and loved the range of species. Seemed very child friendly and it is easy to navigate your way round the whole zoo.
My only grumble would be that the food available was basic in The Glade and some of the food huts weren’t open. But it was fine, just might take lunch with me if we go again. Toilets were readily available and there was a zoo train to take you round the zoo if you didn’t mind queueing.

A lovely zoo, the enclosure looked spacious and well looked after. A nice walk around which was flat, which was good as we had a pushchair. Also some great walk through so your close to the animals. I would recommend.
