Terrible company , more interested in lining their pockets than looking after consumers and dealer partners. They change the goalposts constantly as well as their ludicrous price increases. They also enforce unfair business practices on their dealer partners and call it progress.

They use AI and it’s shocking, what are their adverts even about, I watched one that was a woman working at a burger restaurant and a guy being beeped at then he put his had through the sun roof? Seriously lazy and pathetic. Do better

Paying £100 for advertising and then being unable to get proper support is unacceptable. Reaching the UK contact centre is difficult, overseas connections are unreliable, and staff frequently don’t understand the request. This is not a professional service.

Emailed a complaint through to their complaints department. Only took them 14 days to reply via email to say someone will reply back to your feedback in 48 hours. This company has come out of fashion, we’ve thankfully moved all of our advertising to other companies who love to hear our feedback, listen and is a BARGAIN PRICE in comparison to “AUTO TRADER” We were paying in the thousands , now guess what? Paying in the HUNDREDS and still business as usual. WAKE UP DEALERS AND BUYERS. THIS IS NOT YOUR ONLY
OPTION. Complaint departments slow motion reaction and the people I spoke to on the phone regarding our matter topped it all off.. YES we’re no longer YOUR client. 🙂 thank you !

Shocking what you are doing to retailers with deal builder. You already make stupid profits. Really hope you feel some humility and change your plans soon. I am a lifelong auto trader fan but if this carries on I'll be deleting the app and using alternative platforms

Been a 'partner' of Autotrader for years, multiple thousands of pounds later and we now are being made to have a product (deal builder) that we simply don't want and has only been made to increase AT's monopoly. Hopefully their share price plummeting will usher in some common sense.

I have been a customer of AutoTrader since 2019. I have spent close to £180,000 from one site and our second site has been with them since 2016 spending £2.16 million. All AutoTrader have done over the years is to increase there fees by 8% every year, then on top of this introduce functions such as price markers which devalues our stock.

Most recently in April 2025, they hit us with another 8% price increase and then in October 2025, they launched a function called Deal Builder which basically means that not only AutoTrader will charge us thousands ££ per month but they will also take a percentage of every car we sell. They began this with a small percentage of 0.25% but this will have no bounds and will continue to increase to make themselves more profitable to there investors.

They openly in the pack to there investors say that they charge £90 - £120 per car sold on AutoTrader with these new changes this will go to £180 - £240. Taking there profit from £75 per car sold to £150. This is heinous.

Autotrader are like the bully at school that everyone was too scared to stand up to. No matter how many times you give them your lunch money they still demand MORE. It’s time we dealers (And your customers) stand up to you and demand our voices be heard. Parasites.
