  • Produce Quality: Some reviews mention the availability of great produce, suggesting competitive fresh food offerings.
  • Bag Handling Policy: A recurring negative point involves the handling of shopping bags, particularly at self-service till points. Customers report feeling unfairly scrutinized or treated as potential thieves due to staff handling bags meticulously. This specific aspect of the shopping experience is frequently cited as a drawback by some visitors.

Overall, ASDA Rushden Superstore presents itself as a comprehensive and accessible retail option. While it offers standard supermarket goods and services at reasonable prices, the specific practice of bag handling at self-service tills is a factor potential visitors might consider when planning their shopping experience.

Conclusion

The ASDA Rushden Superstore serves as a vital community shopping center, providing a wide range of goods and services in a conveniently located and accessible facility. While generally meeting customer expectations for a major supermarket chain, feedback suggests there is potential for improvement regarding customer service perceptions, particularly concerning the handling of personal belongings during transactions.

Theft of bags must be high!

Overall just a normal supermarket with generally pleasant staff and mid prices, not as low as Lidl or Aldi but not as high as Tesco or Sainsbury’s but you are made to feel like a criminal when you reach the self pay tills with every staff member carrying around the bags like they are worth £1m each, I’ve even had staff scan them in for me like I’m gong to steal a bag, it’s the one thing that puts me off coming in and pushes me to use other less judgemental retailers

Medium sized supermarket.
Parking underneath the building so access can be without getting wet if it rains.
The under car park does get full at busy times..
An escalator to access, and a lift.
Another access door from the road side.
A clothes selection.
A shoe repair store inside too.
Toilets available.
A bakery.
Sadly they've replaced loads of check outs with self serve.
These arnt your standard self serve they're the larger ones for the whole trolley.
And it takes AGES !!
If you have an issue with an item or the weight, then good luck waiting for a staff member to help you.
On visiting on a Saturday at 6pm there were only two actual humans serving, the rest is self serve.
It just adds time to a big shop, and is quite frankly off putting when you have a massive trolley full.

Asda Superstore with under Store car parking facilities mobility parking bays by the lifts with travelators to and from the carpark. This Store has a cafe that now only sells snacks, pizza slices and coffee no fresh meals like they used to serve. the usual instore department's for clothing, bakery, fresh pizza made to order ect ect asda if you have no stock of certain items remove the sale cards from the display until you're back in stock with that item. moderate sized carpark outside the main building with ATMs out by the front of store
also shopping trolleys that are damaged should be taken out of service and removed from the trolly area those with seized wheels and damaged out of shape baskets should be repaired or scraped

Customer service desk was very rude and unhelpful. Jo working on the desk at the time was very dismissive and unhelpful to both us and the man in front of us. Staff definitely need retraining if this is the attitude they have.

I picked up an item priced at £1.69 it was £2.10 at the till.

I said hey to a staff member, and let them know I’m not too fussed but I thought id let you know this is priced incorrectly.

I got almost no reaction.
No matter where you work, show some care for the work you do, people will appreciate it.

I’ve checked the price a few days later and this still hasn’t been changed.

Too many bottle necks when entering and leaving the store, all of which could be avoided. Sometimes there's stalls, then plants and the homeless. It's difficult enough for those able bodied to negotiate this let alone the elderly. Add in the fact you have the escalators pushing people into the same spot it's asking for trouble.
Please think ahead when planning these areas Asda and for the public please make it easier on the elderly who struggle when faced with these obstacles 🙏
