Staff here are rude and extremely unprofessional at times. It’s a big store with mostly groceries. It can take up more than 1.5 hours for you to shop but apparently you need to shop more than a £100 to get time extended on parking. So i guess you drop your grocery shopping closer to the time and finish it off somewhere else? Would be better to go somewhere else altogether then.

The staff member who were “doing me a favour in extending my stay just this once for my only £40 worth of shopping” mentioned this as a store policy.

If Asda cannot be bothered to ensure good customer service at their stores then I guess its best to shop from Tesco, Lidl or Sainsbury’s.

Click and collect . What a nightmare. I arrived at 16.05 pm. Checked in by procedure. Waited and waited then rang. Phone was answered and was told its just coming out. Waited Waited. At last after 30 minutes it arrived. I would have been quicker going into store myself. Not good management. Lack of staff. The only 2 people working . One was keeley (i think) she was so polite and apologetic. Never again will I use this service . Unhappy

Car park is limited to 1.5hrs which doesn’t help me, having mobility issues. I either use my mobility scooter or walker and usually in the store to collect prescription where pharmacy is either on break or there’s a large line. Because I move so slow, I end up up going over the 1.5hrs and therefore receiving parking tickets
There’s no customer service email or access on line to file a complaint and you cannot get through on the telephone number provided.
I am having my prescriptions sent to another pharmacy and will drive to a different named supermarket to do my shopping

Decent place for everyday shopping.
Have petrol station there with decent fuel prices so extra advantage.
Exit line or pickup point could be better as it’s very tight there. They recently reduced the number of tills operators and leave people for self service which is quite annoying when you have a a full trolly.
People crossing or driving past all the time so tight one.

Big store with most things you would need.
Fancied fish finger sandwiches for lunch so walking around saw in a ,freezer at the end of an isle, special offer of mix and match 4 items for £6. The offer wasn’t recognised at the self service checkout ( massive queues everywhere with only 2 manned tills open !! ) so went to customer service, showed her the receipt and explained and she said ‘that can’t be an offer that’s to much for that price it’s going to be one of those days ‘ very unhappy and miserable to say the least! Had to show her the freezer she got the sticker off the door and returned to her desk. She did give us the money refund, but blimey customer service was not her forte.
Training or recruitment required there I think !!!!

Was very excited to have sushi for a night in with friends so paid for the sharing platter for £14 and an additional £4 for the katsu rolls as well.

Upon trying this the sushi was chewey and abysmal at best to the point where no soy sauce could fix it. Still tried to make the best of a bad decision

Unfortunately this morning all parties involved in eating said overpriced sushi including me as a 65 year old man have had to experience the most horrible upset stomachs including near vomiting and diarrhoea. Shame on the person who has clearly not been keeping track of the dates and will never buy from you again.

In addition it would appear that Asda doesn’t care for the disabled community or parents with small children as there have been repeated incidents noted when going to do shopping that people looking to take a shortcut for their shopping are abusing these bags and nobody is pulling them up on it.

It is noted that fines have been threatened for such abuse but have yet to see any enforcement on these matters. It is obvious that Asda doesn’t care or is too worried about making a profit to be concerned over the disabled community and families. So if you’re parking here longer than 1.5 hours you’ll be fined no problem as I saw another lady on here say, but let people abuse the reserved spaces and that goes unpunished. Asda double standards.

It is advisable to steer clear of Asda and demonstrate to such retailers that consumers hold significant power in the market. Prior to the pandemic, Asda was a reasonable option for shopping; however, since then, average prices have surged by approximately 80%, with ongoing increases of 10 to 20 pence per item. It appears they are exploiting a fabricated inflation scenario, while the government benefits from an additional 20% in taxes due to these inflated prices, showing little concern for the excessively high costs that contribute to the recession we are currently experiencing. Consequently, I made the switch to Lidl and Aldi some time ago and have noticed that my shopping basket now contains more items at a lower overall cost. It is best to avoid Asda.

Really inconvenient supermarket, do people nearby really runaway with trolleys? Then when in the store, many items out of stock, cardboard laying across floors and no sign of staff nearby stacking shelves etc. Then at the end thought I'd be self sufficient and use the self service because only 1 till... Yes 1 till on, but couldn't use self service as needed bags, there were none hanging up where they "should have been" and overwhelmed staff in the basket section taking forever to deal with system issues/age verifications etc so they couldn't actually help me at all for several minutes, so I just stand there waiting for their return, holding up everyone else as I needed a few bags for a trolley full of shopping. Overall, they really need to do the customer journey and see the flaws for themselves, not a great experience and would put me off returning as competition is fierce.
