Getting awful. No matter what time or day there's always empty dirty shelves. Got a prison feel to it now.

Selection of herbs is poor, stationary is lacking, fruit and veg wilted. Soft drinks selection poor. Deals seem to be getting less

I'd rather drive across town to Tesco.

Just came in to have a full English breakfast, all I can say is it was absolutely disgusting!! Where have the days gone cooking fresh? Even the toast wasn’t cooked properly.
I don’t recommend eating here at all even if passing. Awful!! 🤢

Edited 11/03/25: I've shopped here regularly for 4 years now. Store still nearly always has what I need, but this for basic food and groceries, no extras. Asda prices have now stabilised having previously risen faster and higher compared to it's competitors since I arrived here. It's still easy to get round with well lit wide isles, checkouts are now mostly card only self-service, but with only 2 regular cash friendly, manned checkouts. There are empty spaces in the fresh meat, veg area's, and the shelf gaps now regularly extend throughout the store, particularly midweek due to product shortages, staff cuts, restricted working hours and a shortage of shelf stackers. Still plenty of room in the car park, but for how long? Asda is actively looking to sell off whenever possible, existing car space to shore up the balance sheet. Will Lowestoft be the next victim? A woefully shortsighted policy IMHO. If it happens, expect CCTV and private companies to come in and generate an income stream from the remaining spaces. Fuel remains card only self-service at the pumps, prices now on a par with the cheapest in the area. Still no EV charging points, providing further reason to shop elsewhere. Overall, Lowestoft store still remains a useful convenience store but is slowly descending into a doom loop caused by rising costs, indifferent pricing and customer service. Site access has improved significantly with the opening of the Gull Wing Bridge with mostly freeflowing traffic nearby.

My wife is disabled, we visited the store to find they only have one trolley for wheel chair users thatbwas being used. As i have to push the wheel chair this meant we could not do our shopping. After asking for a manager we were confronted with an absolute drip of a man boy smirking as we complained. Michael the manager was useless and frankly lucky I can keep myself so composed. An absolute pathetic waste of skin man boy that was rude and unhelpful. Be careful Michael not everyone has my calm! I would avoid this pit of a store and its useless manger.

Debbie in bakery is the most delightful and helpful woman, she catered (both metaphorically and literally) to our needs helping us endlessly when the cake printing machine was broken. Leon please give Debbie a raise she a true ASDA warrior.

3 stars for the store - no cake machine and no variety in bra size for the mrs
5+ stars for the one and only Debbie - what a woman!!!

Went to shop today I am a wheelchair user only had one wheelchair trolley which was in use and was told only one in whole store. Then when asked for key for mobility scooter to get told 3 were on charge get given key for other one and it didn't work. So much to my total disgust the disabled are very overlooked and staff not at all helpful sometimes very rude and unhelpful with their attitudes. So we had no choice but to have to go elsewhere were full disabled equipment was readily available thank goodness.
