This ASDA shop is a cheating shop with POOR customers service. The price go down from $1.5 (see photo) but keep charging me for $1.5.
Actually, this is not a big deal but....
1. I have to wait 10 minutes to queue for customers service.
2. The customer service lady treat me like a thief or cheating person even if I gave her the receipt and photo attached.
3. Ask me for the bag of peanut (see photo) way inside my shopping bag.
4. She did not refund the cash but gift card instead. This mean, I have to shop back.

In Tesco, I returned a bag of funny smell chicken to customers service. I can simply replace bag with bag in 1 minute. NO bad felling, quick service and say sorry to me even not the customers service problem.

This asda has declined over the 5 years of using it as my go-to supermarket, and as the store, I would visit outside my locality.
When visiting, instore standards have slipped, but the staff are still pleasant, so it's clearly down to management decisions.
For those customers within a certain catchment area, home deliveries are no longer an option from this store.
I somewhat understand the decision. However, there may be times you can't get to do your shop. You are forced to use the express service ( just eat/uber eats/ deliveroo), the delivery charge being £8.50-£8.99 per delivery.
What would have been good customer service was to inform local customers of this change in delivery options.
Never mind bringing back the rollback campaign. How about treating the customers you have left with some respect?
This store is clearly struggling to retain customers. The old trick of a reorganised store,in the assumption being impulse buying, isn't a method that works in these times as the shopper knows what they want, and they just get what they need and leave. This puts customers off, the customers' time is valuable, and who has time to wander around looking for the items they want.
This isn't something your competitors do because it's ineffective. Ikea can do this as shopping there is an experience, grocery shopping isn't, not in these times of high prices.
This store has relegated itself from a main shop stop to pick up the odd item location.
Those who do a weekly shop tend to take the trolley with them, hence the lack of trolley availability. This store has now taken to putting security tags on the baskets.
There are better shopping experiences to be had with the other supermarkets in this locality, with no tags on baskets.

Brilliant customer experience, highly competitive prices, huge range of products available. Vast free car parking and additional petrol station, usually with the best local prices.

I like this store. In addition to the extensive assortment, there is a pharmacy,a Click and collect department, you also can send money abroad ( Travel Money 💸) and,if desired, print a photo from your phone. In addition to food, drink,a large selection of clothing ,shoes, George accessories - it is convenient. There are also three payment methods - the usual queue ( tape), vending machine and using a mobile device, for every taste. The staff is friendly and adds to the overall positive picture!

Everything was going well until I had to go to the checkouts. Not a single human was at the normal cashier the store was forcing all customers to use self checkout being operated by 2 staff members against 15 or so self checkout machines . So many people’s tills were flashing red and the two staff members could not keep up with attending everyone’s till without keeping others waiting for a long time. When I eventually got through scanning and packing my large food shop totalling £150 worth of food shopping I proceed to make payment where my rewards app would not scan and the staff member said I had to go to a different self checkout till and start my gruelling process of unpacking everything, rescanning it and then packing it all over again. I was extremely frustrated and asked to speak to a manager who came over huffing and puffing at me interrupting me when I was explaining my frustration of why is there no one working at the normal checkouts who could be scanning while customers are packing and he said that’s how it is here I should of asked someone to go on the till if I wanted that. How rude and unempathetic was that to think I have to ask it should be a working option so the customer can chose which checkout best suits them. After spending £150 at Asda instead of other competitors the least I could get was my Asda rewards points so I had to do the process all over again. My feedback would be that customers should be able to keep their receipt and scan it at the kiosk to put those points onto their app JUST LIKE TESCOS CLUBCARD ALLOWS YOU TO

Accidentally visited this grocery store before my destination to Primark. Looked for Scotland Cookies which I found in small shop in London City Center. But I got nothing here, just some chocolates. So far, the store was clean and the signages show everything clearly

We don’t usually have any issues with this store as the staff are usually friendly and the store is clean and tidy. However, today I came across an unprofessional and quite unpleasant member of staff that really put me off.

As I was paying at the self checkout there was a mother with her very little (if not newborn) baby that was using another self checkout near me. She seemed quite stressed because her baby was crying (I am a mother too and I know how stressful that can be) and she was trying to scan and pack things as quickly as possible so she can get out of there and soothe her baby.

She had an item that was not scanning and asked for help from a member of staff, who was actually just behind her, looking at her packing. He then kind of moved his head like “what do you want” and didn’t even go close to check what was wrong with the item. He then looked at her dead in the eye and said “go get another one then.” At this point the baby is screaming and she was just shocked with his disinterest. She ended up leaving the product behind.

I think that this member of staff needs more training on customer service. I know it might have just been a long day for him, but that was such an unpleasant encounter, and it was not even mine! I just felt so bad for this mother.

I was using the self checkout around 16:08 on 12/11/2024. The staff was a tall, middle aged man.
