I'd advise the appointment system should be reviewed; I turned up at my advised appointment time, which was confirmed in a text message. When I raised that I've been waiting for about 35 mins (I understand appointments can take long, held back on going to reception), I was told my appointment was not until another 40mins. No apologies, but was offered another slot later that day (where I had to wait for another 20 mins). It caused disruption at my work, anyone visiting the surgery please prepare with ample time to spare & with a good read while you're waiting.

Given the massive pressures on the whole NHS , I feel blessed to have been registered at this lovely village surgery. From nurses to Doctors and Patient care team, they have been kind and professional. The patient also has a role in this relationship, something too many forget.

I have used this surgery practice for two years and can't fault a thing. The staff are exceptionally fantastic and well mannered and polite. I think they deserve more credit for the hard work they do each day. They really go above and beyond for their patients.

I have just spoken to a very curt and rude receptionist. I will not name her on here but I have had problems with her before.
It seems that she thinks she is medically trained and can decide for herself whether my medical issue is urgent or not. When offered an appointment 3 weeks away I queried it and was asked very bluntly whether I wanted it or not!!
The other receptionists are most helpful and caring but unfortunately this particular person does not seem to be up to the stressful nature of the job.

A great team doing their very best. Nice people. Difficulty getting an appointment sometimes, but isn’t that the case with every surgery!

It’s not that the staff and everyone is not respectful, but the new system of getting an appointment is not fit for purpose. Just waited 30 minutes on the phone to get an appointment to be told I can have one but they cannot give me a time, it will be between 9am and 6pm. What about my work and my important meetings I have scheduled in. As a life coach I can’t just drop people off my schedule for the whole day this has an emotional and financial impact as I work for myself.

This is totally unacceptable that we as the public who rely on this essential service are to be treated in this way. I am not one to complain but something should be said and it is time we all spoke out

Several times I have experienced horrendous service from reception. Rude and curt. It seems to mainly be the one person, there is a couple that are really lovely but me and family members seem to get the rude one. I originally went in to complain and realised they were in a high up position so I didn’t bother. Today my daughter called to get an appointment. She is very anxious and took her a lot to call. She did so well. She called only for the receptionist to be rude and have a conversation with other people whilst on the phone. My daughter spent the time explaining why she wanted the appointment as she was asked, only for the receptionist’s to carry on the conversation with their colleagues. My daughter had to ask several times for an appointment, was told she could have a student appointment, she said she didn’t understand what that is, then was treated like she was stupid because she didn’t know what it was. She then asked for a doctor appointment and the receptionist then asked her again what the appointment was for! Why are people being treated like this!

Great doctors if you can actually get an appointment. Just called and can’t get a ‘non emergency’ appointment out of school hours for a child for more than a month. Standard appointments for for w/b 27 May released today at 2pm but all gone by 4 (earliest I am able to call). Can’t book next available appointment in the w/b 3rd July (we are currently just in April) until they are released next Tuesday at 2 (again when I won’t be able to call being in class) and will have to hope there’s something left when I’m able to call. Why can I not just book the next available appointment even if it is two months away?
