This store has consistently gone down hill over the past year. Even after the so called improvements, not much point having nice new fittings if there's nothing in them. Cardboard everywhere on the floor, fresh items with very short shelf life making it almost impossible to do a weekly shop. Something is also growing behind the drinks display, food hygiene inspectors
should visit, I genuinely think they would shut them down. Shame as this used to be a great store.

Self Scan yet again is an utter joke.. every customer was being quality checked.
What was more frustrating was the lack of customer service displayed by the member of staff who was clearly getting anxious, her hand held device asked her to check 23 items and she decided that it was ok to pull all the items out and just chuck them to the side. When I asked if she could put them back in the right bags she just ignored me and walked off. Customer service at its finest. Why do they employ such poor mannered staff who clearly have no idea on how to treat customers.

I guess Asda thinks that all it’s customers are on the pinch from them.. However, the only person being robbed is the customer by their high prices and extremely poor customer service.

Not enough staff on click and collect. Waited 30 mins still 10 cars in front. And you pay for this "service". You can't call them or cancel the order. The worst supermarket in the area imo. When I'm done I'm deleting their app. Profits are down. No wonder given the customers who must be abandoning them. Eventually by calling the national number I was able to CANCEL THE ORDER and go home to shop elsewhere tomorrow.

I visited the Asda Store, Bournemouth Rd, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh SO53 3YJ today, 09/11/24, at 20 past 2. It was very busy, possibly because of the fact that we are approaching the Christmas Festivities. I was in the self-service checkout with my trolley. The place was very busy, and there was a problem with the items I was putting on the machine, so I needed to call the shopping assistant for help. It took too long for the person to come, so I told the assistant that they need more workers as I don’t like to wait so long. She told me she can do nothing about it, and she said she needs to tell that to the manager. So I told her to tell the manager that you need more workers. Then I had another issue with another item so I needed to wait again, and the same worker came again, and I told her again that she needs more workers, as I don’t want to wait too long. I was trying to be very friendly with the staff as I could see she was working under pressure but I could see as well there definitely needed to be more staff to help with the customers needs. After that, a manager named Kelly came, she was not very polite, in the way she answered to me, and there was no customer service at all. Then I told her the same thing I told to the shopping assistant, the manager had told me “where do you want me to get the workers from.” I believe this is a very wrong answer and impolite and again missing the point of what customer service should be about. Well I told her that this isn’t my problem, It’s not my business and I’m just a customer here, asking for service. Then the manager (Kelly) had told me that I was being rude to the shopping assistant. I replied to her I have never been rude to anybody, I respect everybody. I cannot believe it because I complained in the right manner and they accused me of being rude.
I told the manager to call the shopping assistant to come by and ask her how I had been rude, and she simply refused.

It really stressed me out, my wife and children were waiting in the car and she asked me what happened as she noticed I wasn’t right.

I believe Asda workers are well-trained to help with any customer situation especially when you’re a manager. She cannot simply approach me with an unfriendly tone and say “where do you want me to get the workers from?” This is simply not right.

I feel sorry for the Asda staff members, working under high amounts of pressure, due to the reason Asda can’t afford to put other members of staff on the floor to help and the customers have to pay for it.

Terrible delivery service. Drivers constantly showing up 10-15mins early and just expecting you to work to their timetable. We book slots so we can manage our time on the weekends. When I ask if he knows what slot we are - "no idea"! Very rude and defensive when I brought it up - I don't think it's an unfair complaint. We only get one Sunday a week! Not just the drivers fault, why doesn't the delivery system account for the time slot?

I will never go to this store again. Horrible experience!
The security are not trained and very rude no idea on how to handle a situation(this wasnt a situation, I was disagreeing with something) and will not listen. Abusive staff who when you simply point out something that isn't right, will accuse you of being aggressive and rude, I was not at all I was simply pointing out the frustration in a situation. When I asked the security officer for her name ( I wanted to report the situation as it was really out of order, but she wouldnt give me a name, obviously as she is being ridiculous. She was then calling me names and when I turned my back to defuse and stop her talking to me she continued to goad and escalate.. They have no idea how to de-escalate or handle busy seasons. I was told they dont care about people or their lives! looks like anyone who makes a stand against them will be bullied and attacked. A greedy company who raise prices and cut staff allowing for massive queues where the self service machine do not work and the security then make you leave without your purchases. Jokers.
As a side note, I am glad I read these reviews as it shows the way I was treated is common. And Asda customer services and security are a massive red flag. They should be ashamed of themselves and one day hopefully they will experience the same as they give others who are just wanting to shop at a busy time of year.

Love this store, been going here years. The only issue is that they don't have a trolly attachment for wheelchairs right now. The one they had previously was metal where it attached to the chair, so it tended to scratch the metal work up. I'm hoping they get a new one like sainsburys, where it's rubber or even plastic there.

My wife was pushing our trolly this morning we poped in for a few items but then decided not to get them. As leaving the shop the trolley just suddenly stopped and slamed into my wife's stomach ( she is currently 22 weeks pregnant!) She was in alot of pain and is currently up the hospital! The security lady came over and asked if she was okay etc, we said no! But the wife just wanted to head back to the car! What stupid idea to have thr breaks just shut off!! If the store wants to do random stop and searches that's why they have security!!
