Enjoyed wandering around this traditional outdoor market. It stretches along Keswick's main street on both sides of the historic Moot Hall on Thursdays and Saturdays between 9am and 4.30pm. I came on a Thursday, when it was busy but not uncomfortably crowded. Liked the fact that this area is pedestrianised too. There's a wide variety of stalls, ranging from everyday items such as clothing, leather goods, household linens and tools, to beautiful and unusual Lakeland crafts including wood carving, jewellery and slate ornaments. One stallholder was hand painting wildlife images on feathers. Some of the merchandise was expensive, but the craftsmanship looked of a high standard. Some really good food stalls too. I especially loved the cheeses, honey and homemade preserves. The stallholders were very friendly. Lots of cafes, pubs and nice little independent shops around the market.

A fantastic little market with lots of variety of local produce. People are friendly and helpful giving lots of information on their stock. Also care advice eg how to take care of wool products. Yes I bought plenty but enjoyed every minute of it. Well worth a visit.

For me this is the best market I have ever visited, reason being that all the stalls sell high end quality products, nothing cheap and tatty here at all, located in the heart of this beautiful town, a must visit when I'm next on holiday in this stunning area.

There are lots of great market stalls at Keswick market so feel free to wander around. TOP TIP! Look out for the outdoor clothing guy who sells HIKE brand cotton rich socks. These are not a well known or expensive brand but they are VERY CHEAP and VERY COMFORTABLE and SUPPORTIVE. BEST OF ALL THOUGH YOUR FEET DON'T SWEAT IN THEM! which is amazing. He also has lots of other good hiking clothing at very affordable prices. I also love the guy selling photos of the lake District fells that are embossed on slates as well. Really friendly guy and the slates are beautiful and again reasonably priced. I also like the couple selling the towels as well. Just a few recommendations from me.

If you visit Keswick, try and visit the Weekly market. It's run by people who run small businesses. Try and spend your hard earned cash on products they sell rather than the huge conglomeratesπŸ€žπŸ€žπŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„
