Ian was a great help when I went to see him about a ring I had purchased from a different shop and later found it unsuitable to wear.
He gave great advice and sent my ring away to be fixed. I was told it would be about 3 weeks yet in just over a week I got a call to say it was fixed. Many thanks to Ian and his great service I highly recommend wot a gem.

I took my 21st birthday present in to be repaired an 18ct x o link two coloured bracelet worth £1200 as part had unfortunately broke. They called and i also went into the store confirming not to go through with the repair as it wasnt what i wanted done to it. I went to pick the piece up which had already been soldered already with no movement in 3 of the links anymore due to the shabby soldering and with 9ct gold on an 18ct gold piece, the white gold x link was yellow gold now and all bumpy aswell, it even went onto the next two links, i didnt recognise what i had left there. I was extremely gutted, as it was a very important piece. I would never have thought that something like that would occur especially unconsented. Im extremeley upset with the entire situation.

Have brought two items of jewellery spending in region of 150 and both items have broke. Took in to get repair and have been charged and told defect is of our own doing, so that's two items both broke and it's our own fault if i could give no stars I would. The assistant i spoke to was rude, I'd advise anyone never get jewellery from them as they never take blame and charge through the roof for repairs, very disappointed.

Quick edit, I've noticed that reviews that show any negativity are replied to and wot a gem never take blame or any form of criticism, especially after reading a review which was replied about being open since 1985, big retailers have been open longer and never reply to negative reviews with such malice. What ever happened to customer retailers reading reviews and thinking oh they do have a point especially since rudeness is a common factorn here

I'll edit again, I didn't mention the shape of the ring, that was you, and the stone had come lose, it wasn't because my partner didn't take care of it, my partner has a lot of jewellery which has not broken and only after mentioning this is the item purchased from you that was broke, thats when you came on the offensive. Yes i did say it was misshapen due to partners finger, i didnt say that was an issue. The fact the gem had come off, that was the issue. The 4 clasps was all intact and the gem still came out. Then you said about the price, repairs to the ring should have been free considering its from your shop. Your assistant said she would go into the reciept archives to get my proof of purchase so perhaps we should do that. Yet again proof you don't take criticism , everyone else has tk be at fault.

Lets clarify, you mentioned the shape of the ring, I said obviously it warps to the shape of a finger. Any negative review you have been rude in replying, oh I bend over backwards, perhaps have a better attitude towards customers and you'd have a good review. I'll leave a good review or a bad review depending on my experience and I left a 1 star for you because out of all the shops I go in, you are by far the rudest , perhaps we should look after our jewellery. Funny how all our other jewellery is fine, except 2 items I got from you. Your a very naive person, reviews are left accordingly and customers are allowed to say and talk freely about there experiences without the owner coming back cause he doesn't like what he has read and putting blame on customer, not a very good look there

Kindly placed on the back of a watch that I was unable to do, free of charge after buying a spare battery. Eluded to the watch being cheaply made(evidence supplied by when I pushed the case back on myself the case back was warped) which albeit a fair point. Perhaps not the best thing to say about customers items of jewelry/timepieces as they may hold value beyond material cost or build. I'm sure no offence was meant, but a learning experience for the staff.

Brilliant service from Ian at Wotagem! I've had 3 watches that have needed adjusting in terms of wrist linkages being removed and batteries replaced. Each time, the service has been great - friendly staff and quick turnaround with a reliable outcome.
