Visited here for a late lunch and was really charmed by the place. It's a lovely pub that is surprisingly big inside and has both a very nice covered patio area just outside with lots of tables, and a more green beer garden shaded with trees towards the back. The main inside of the pub was really pretty and bright and has been decorated very tastefully. It's easy to tell the owners and staff really take care of it. The toilets were spotlessly clean, which I always think is a good sign.

There is parking at the rear, as well as disabled parking spots, and the back entrance from the car park is step free and very accessible for wheelchair users. The food was cooked well and my gammon was very well seasoned which I appreciated. The portion sizes were also very reasonable. The staff were polite, timely and very helpful to accessible needs. Overall, a very pretty, accessible pub for a good meal and a nice pint. I will definitely return!

X4 of us went for lunch yesterday and we were not disappointed; the food was delicious and very reasonably priced, the staff were very polite and very attentive but not at all overbearing and the surroundings were very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this pub for a great reasonably priced lunch and next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely try to visit again. 5 stars every time from me.

The only place we could find for Monday night food, and what a great find. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the local beer good, and the steak pie and burger followed by Biscoff cheesecake were superb. Highly recommended 👌

We booked a month in advance for a celebration saying it was for a birthday and one of the party has a specfic allergy, would this be a problem, we were told no
There was no allergen information on the menu, so our daughter had to look online for the information herself. A member of staff then asked if it would be okay to cook her dinner in something they use for other foodstuffs that contains her allergy!!! Then said they could cook it in the oven for her.
We seemed to have got a spare starter, then one of the main meals was missing, the person who's birthday it was!
The staff did apologise for this and they gave us a discount because of the mix up
The food, however, was very nice and we will return in the future

When attending this pub, I was unsure on what to choose. I really fancied sausage and mash, but it wasn’t on the menu. I asked the chef and owner if they’d be able to throw something together at all, and they made the best sausage and mash ever! The owner is absolutely lovely, the chef was fab, all staff were polite. Such a lovely atmosphere with a great drink selection too. Special shoutout to chef Andy!

The Ferry Boat had us sailing away happy!

We’ll be honest, this wasn’t our first choice. We’d rang many places beforehand and nowhere we tried was serving food or wasn't even open. This was on a Monday mind, so we do appreciate it's one of the quieter days for restaurants, but there are still people who want to dine out on Mondays so there’s a possible gap in the market there.

Moving on to The Ferry Boat, it’s a lovely venue that felt very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much for them.

Now for what you're really here for and the food was just as good as the service. The starters were both light and freshly prepared and it was clear from the taste. If we’re honest, they weren’t exactly show stoppers, but very nice basic plates to ease us in.

On to the main events, and we were thoroughly impressed when both plates arrived. The pie was divine! Stuffed to the top with succulent chunks of steak in a rich vegetable-filled gravy paired with delicious mash and summer greens, this was a hearty dish full of flavour.

And now the burger. It’s safe to say it’s a good one! As pub burgers go, it’s one of the best we’ve tried. It’s as simple as that. Want to know why? Go and try one out and you’ll see what we mean. It’s just flawless in our opinion.

The same goes for the entire evening at The Ferry Boat. We highly recommend you give them a visit and they've even a car park too so you really have no excuses not to check them out.

Honestly, this was the best experience at a pub I have ever had. Thank you to the friendly and knowledgeable Sam and brilliant menu options. I haven't been to many places where there are so many vegan mains and puddings but also they cater for non-vegans equally. Sam also knew without having to check which wines were vegan friendly. I would definitely visit again!
