Beautiful place to visit. Highly recommend. However, it's a very long and steep walk up to the main house from the entrance, so if you've got a lot to carry or don't fancy a challenging walk, there is a bus service from the ticket office.

Great day out, very friendly and helpful staff. Attentive Wheelchair help. Beautiful and interesting stately home, and lovely grounds. Even had free children activities available too. Good food, wine and gift shop too.

Only visited the grounds but they are well worth it. Stunning gardens.
We took the shuttle bus from the car park which was worth the price. £8 for 2 adults and 3 children (1 was under 2). It would have been a 20-30 minute walk otherwise which is fine for adults or older children.
The adventure play ground was great and mostly shaded by trees. There are also garden games free to use on the main lawns.
We only brought coffee which was on the average to pricey side but that was to be expected.
Will definitely be going back to visit the house itself.

The best National Trust location we have visited so far. Beautiful house with many interesting rooms to visit. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the gardens are pretty. The food in the restaurant is tasty (and pricey), but worth a visit. I'll say again, the staff here are super! Thank you all.

I would highly recommend coming here there was so much to see and do we came to celebrate my birthday and it exceeded expectations. There were so many games to play on the lawn and lots of history to see inside the house. Everything has been kept to an exceptional standard the rose garden was particularly beautiful. The only downside is that you need to drive to be able to get in as the transport links aren’t the best

Been several times and always went around the lovely gardens. Was never that much into going in the manor itself as it was just ostentatious and showy. So this time we did decide to do the inside and a really enjoyed it. I got a new perspective on the Rothschild family and their eclectic collections and have more respect for what they have achieved with the manor. Some absolutely exquisite furniture and ornaments to be found, and I found the whole experience much more enjoyable that any museum I have been to.

The staff were very knowledgable and helpful, and each room we went into we got a different insight from the local guides which brought some of the collection to life in a much better way than casually browsing your way around the manor. Would love to go back again

An absolutely stunning house and gardens. Well worth a visit and the magnificent house is just full of the mist beautiful artefacts from the Rothschilds collections. The level of craftsmanship in all aspects of the building is astonishing and the guide book at the end is a great read with brilliant pictures of some of the more amazing pieces for just £7. Highly recommended for a visit.
