AVOID AVOID AVOID

I was a loyal customer for many years on what I believed was a rolling monthly contract. When I closed my small business in December 2023, I phoned to cancel and made it clear the business was shutting down and I no longer required their services. I was told my account was closed, and I assumed that was the end of it.
Months later, I began receiving aggressive emails demanding nearly Ā£800 for a ā€œsecond contractā€ I was never made aware of, never agreed to, and never used. I have repeatedly tried to respond and explain, but communication with this company is like banging your head against a wall. No one takes responsibility, and no clear proof has been provided.
I’m more than happy to defend my position in court rather than pay a penny more to what I now consider a highly unethical business run by con artist. This is not how you treat longstanding customers — especially small businesses doing their best to wrap up properly.
Absolute cowboys. I would not touch them again with a barge pole.

Absolutely sham and scam.
Switched to this company on the understanding they would cover the cost the getting me out of present contact.
This never happened, sales person had left ( very common ) and so my word against there’s .
Stayed with them for 3 years or so. But still had to pay my old supplier as well.
After 3 years I closed the business and returned the machine. Notified by phone and also discussed the above.
A year later I get a bill followed by debt chasing. Was informed I had not notified them and so contract was still in force.
Paid ( under duress ) and notified by email of termination .
Two years after I closed the business I get another invoice. Emailed them to tell them exactly what I thought of them and was informed that I had not cancelled my contract ! Which I had and still had a copy of the email.
How can a company send invoices for work they have not done ?
To add to the the scam,I can’t believe that people have taken the time to write so many good reviews about a card machine supplier.

My card reader went down last Friday 8th August 2025. I tried to ring the help line and it gave me a message, 'wait, an adviser will be with you shortly'. Having hung on for nearly 2 hours and listened to this message nearly every 30 seconds I still hadn't been connected to an advisor so I hung up. I have tried again today and hung on for over 2 hours and eventually had to hang up. What the hell is going on? why doesn't someone answer? I run a small rural business and these days few people carry cash so tend to use the card reader. This is costing me money in lost sales and all I want is to talk to someone to get the matter sorted out. Is this too much to expect? I run The Toy Works, Melmerby, Penrith, Cumbria, CA10 1HE

Signed up with RMS for a card machine for my small business, the card machine was inadequate as it was wifi only so it went back.
They then tried to charge me for transactions I never done, then 3 years later sold the debt to a recovery agency for nearly Ā£500 saying I never returned the unit, which I certainly did but I’ve just had to pay it.
Wouldn’t go anywhere near RMS ever again, fraudsters.

Fantastic Customer Service. We had an issue with our card machine so contacted support. Dan resolved the issue quickly and knowledgeably. I was particularly impressed by the fact that he established e-mail contact in order to facilitate a call back rather than having to go through the switchboard again. Thank you Dan, you took the stress out of the problem.

Avoid this company at all costs!!!
I signed a contract with this company in 2022 for a card payment terminal that was never delivered. As per the contract, I cancelled within the 15-day cooling-off period. Despite this, they withdrew money from my bank account without any notice or authorisation.

I contacted them multiple times to complain and even stated that I was seeking legal advice. Their response? They casually told me that since they'd already taken the money, there was ā€œnothing further to payā€ and that the matter was ā€œresolved.ā€

Fast forward to April 19, 2025 – I receive a letter out of the blue claiming I still owe them money and that they’ve now involved a debt recovery company. Absolutely disgraceful!

This company clearly disregards contractual obligations, lacks basic communication, and treats customers with total disrespect. I'm now having to get a solicitor involved to sort out their mess.

Disgusted by their conduct. DO NOT trust this company. Avoid at all costs!

I had the pleasure of being assisted today by one of your Customer Services Representatives Mr. Jake Murray in the setting-up of our new ā€œspace ageā€ terminal.
Mr. Murray was a breath of fresh air when it comes to dealing with CSR’s in many other services.
He was friendly and respectful, and knowledgeable about what really is a new terminal, and he very kindly walked me and assisted me through the process of setting the terminal up to incorporate our specific requirements.
He actually made the process sound interesting and we are grateful for him making our transition to using this new terminal actually a pleasure.
I will be happy to recommend RMS and indeed their excellent Customer Service to others.

Michael Fortune was great. Really helpful. Great customer service. However it took 33 mins to get through. RMS should be ashamed of themselves. Put on more staff or get yourself a phone system that you ring YOUR CUSTOMERS back!!!!
